Places We Love
Alameda Point
Take the ferry to Alameda and walk to several decommissioned hangars on the former Naval Air Station, now home to breweries and wineries. Prepare for a lot of wind and enjoy views of the San Francisco skyline.
North Beach
North Beach is one of our favorite neighborhoods in San Francisco. Check out Italian restaurants, old San Francisco bars (Northstar and The Saloon), and Coit Tower for amazing bay views.
The Presidio
The Presidio is a national historic site near the Golden Gate Bridge. Check out the free museum in the Officers' Club and Arguello for Mexican fare and margaritas.
The Mission
The Mission has been home for over three years - we live at 19th Street/Lexington Street!
Walk around Valencia Street to browse local shops, grab a sandwich at Rhea's Deli, and head to Dolores Park to enjoy the grass fields and views.
Wet your whistle at one of our favorite bars, El Rio or Blondie's.
The Castro
The Castro is up the street from The Mission, browse kinky shops, pick up a treat at The Castro Fountain, and head to Michael's favorite sports bar, Hi-Tops.
Sausalito
Floating homes dot the coastline. Enjoy vast views of San Francisco and waterfront restaurants. If you're up for it - rent bikes in San Francisco and bike on the Golden Gate Bridge to reach Sausalito.
We highly recommend the mussels and french toast at the French restaurant Le Garage on the northern end of the city.
Pt. Reyes Seashore
Such a beautiful place. Shuck oysters harvested in Tomales Bay, taste cheese at Cowgirl Creamery in Pt. Reyes Station, and visit the Point Reyes Lighthouse. Hiking the Tomales Point trail leaving from Pierce Point Ranch is awesome!
Take the ferry to Oakland's waterfront, Jack London Square - grab a bite at Farmhouse Kitchen or Zachary's for deep dish pizza. Oakland has a big craft brew scene, check out Fieldwork Brewing and Original Pattern Brewing.
Pacifica
Pacifica is a small city just south of San Francisco. Enjoy the sandy beaches, catch fish at the pier, and hike the ridges of San Pedro Valley Park.
Half Moon Bay
Home to world famous surf break Maverick's, this seaside town has big fishing and farming influences. Check out the marina, stroll along the coastal trail, and grab a bite at San Benito House.
Hwy 1
Take a scenic drive from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz along the 1, you'll pass through Pescadero, Ano Nuevo, and Davenport.
