THINGS TO DO
San Antonio, TX
Join us for a drink and say hello to other wedding guests. A selection of wine, beer, and light bites will be served. Stay for as little or as long as you'd like!
Boiler House is right next to Hotel Emma and we recommend grabbing dinner beforehand - check out the "Things To Do" tab for some ideas.
The ceremony starts promptly at 4pm. Dinner, drinks, and bad dancing to follow!
Make sure to select your entree preference on the RSVP card (bride & groom love the crispy smoked quail) and please email natalie@countrysugar.com with any dietary restrictions.
Black Tie Optional. Anything from a tux or long gown, to a sharp suit or cocktail dress. We're getting fancy.
The ceremony will be outside in Hotel Emma's courtyard - all other events will be inside. The average for December in San Antonio is a high of 64/low of 40. We recommend packing an extra layer in case it gets chilly during the ceremony.
Hotel Emma is located within the Pearl Brewery complex, right off the north end of the River Walk.
Check out some of our favorites:
Southerleigh, Botika, Bakery Lorraine, Cured, Green Vegetarian Cuisine, Blue Box Bar, High Street Wine Co, Jazz TX, Lick Honest Ice Creams, Local Coffee, Bottling Dept, Pearl Farmers Market (every Saturday & Sunday)
Located about ten minutes from Hotel Emma on the south end of the River Walk. Fun little spot in a super cute neighborhood. We love Stella Public House for their pizza and Halcyon for their drinks and S'Mores (yum)
A favorite spot of the mother of the bride, La Villita is located off the central part of the River Walk (the touristy part) Check out local makers and artisans in a quaint, historic setting.
The section downtown is one of the most popular tourist attractions in San Antonio, and right by the Alamo. You can also walk the length or they offer river boat tours. Paesanos Riverwalk and Ocho at Hotel Havana are two favorite restaurants, with The Esquire Tavern great for cocktails.
Take guided tours of the individual missions, or a self-led hike and bike tour of all five for our more adventurous guests. Just follow the River Walk south! We've biked before, and recommend starting and ending at Blue Star. Rent a quality bike at the bike shop (as opposed to the rather uncomfortable city bike share ones) and finish with a beer at the brewery.
