Please Log inMeha & Derek's Mehndi Night (Invite Only)
Close family and friends will be invited to join us for a fun evening of mehndi, dinner, and dance as we kick off the weekend celebrating the married couple-to-be.
Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. Indian wedding tradition calls for a mehndi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage.
Ganesh Puja & Grah Shanti
Close family and friends will be invited to join us for Meha's Grah Shanti and Satak ceremonies, followed by Meha and Derek's Pithi ceremony. Lunch will be served following the pre-wedding ceremonies.
The Grahashanti and Satak is a morning prayer to seek the blessings of the nine worlds. It is an invitation to Lord Ganesh to come and remove all obstacles from the bride and groom’s path and provide them with immense happiness.
The Pithi Ceremony symbolizes the cleansing and purification of the bride and groom before the wedding. Friends and family rub a pithi (turmeric) paste onto the bride and groom's arms, neck, face, hands and legs.

Wedding Ceremony
With great love and joy, please join us in blessing Meha and Derek as we celebrate their marriage ceremony.
Baraat | 9:00am - 10:00am | Main Entrance
The Baraat is a small parade by the Groom's family and friends, beginning outside of the ceremony venue and ending at the venue doors. There are drums, music, dancing, and traditionally the Groom arrives on a horse or elephant. The Baraat symbolizes the Bride's family welcoming the Groom's family into their community, so it's important that the Grooms family brings positivity and energy!
Wedding | 10:00am - 12:00pm | Grand Ballroom
The Wedding ceremony follows the Baraat. There are some aspects of a typical American wedding that you'll see here; a bridal entrance, flowers, a priest, the father giving away the bride. More details will be provided on the day of the event!
Lunch | 12:00pm - 2:00pm | Grand Ballroom
Lunch will be served following wedding ceremony.
