Regina is the proud home of the RCMP Academy, Depot Division, where every RCMP recruit in Canada comes to train in hopes of one day becoming a member of this elite group of officers. Established in 1885, the training grounds are home to not only the "Depot", but also the horse stables, chapel, old gym, Centennial Building (museum), police driving unit, drill hall, forensics lab, as well as the RCMP Heritage Centre which brings life to one of Canada's oldest and most iconic stories, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
