Mauricio aka Pun and I meet 15 years ago by a mutual friend (Frankie)
We think our story was meant to be. Let me explain.
Growing up, we lived 1 block away from each other (we did not know it.)
Pun went to school with most of my cousins .
My step-dad's family was related to Pun's family.
As you can see, we were meant to meet somehow but we didn't ...at least not yet.
I met Pun for my going away to New York party. He came with his cousin (Oscar)and his best friend (the other Oscar) (who also went to the same school as my cousin Kimarie)
While in New York, during my internship, he would call and we would talk but I never really knew who he was. He will tell me he was " That nigga" Kind of creepy now that I think about it. My number was given to him by his cousin who I was friends with. Besides I loved his manly voice, so I didn't mind his calls.
I came back to Milwaukee and met Frankie. We became really good friends. He then introduce me to Pun. Eventually I figure out who Pun was.
At first I didn't care for Pun, as he was not my type, but as time passed, I got to know his ways and fell in love with his goofy ways.
For my 21st birthday, he came out with Frankie, even though he was dying (had chills and fevers). However, I felt special that he had came out even though he couldn't hang out as much because he was sick.
The following night, he took me out to my first official downtown club experience, with his other best friend Ruben. whose sister I was friends with and they were my cousin's neighbor (see another sign).
Pun and I hung out for a few months as friends, but then one night he wrote me a little note asking to be his girlfriend and to check yes or no.
