Our first date was on a hot summer day in July. We met at a local dessert shop called B Sweet and sampled everything on the menu as we shared stories for over 3 hours and found out we have a lot in common. Maryn gave Shawn an awkward hug and he asked her out again the next day :)
Shawn invited Maryn on a day trip to Catalina Island to celebrate his birthday. It was their first time parasailing and Maryn was impressed with Shawn's organizational skills as he checked everything off the itinerary including saying the first "I Love You!" :D
The first time Shawn met many of Maryn's friends and family at her birthday celebration in Malibu. Shawn was nervous and bought a new outfit for the day - but of course everyone loved him!
All bundled up in Chicago where Maryn met Shawn's family and tried deep dish pizza for the first time (it was delish!). We figured it was fate when Shawn's mom pulled out the same exact dishes that Maryn's mom has. #kismet
Celebrating our one-year anniversary in Coronado! We spent the day lounging on the beach, making DIY art, and eating lobstah rolls of course.
Visiting Hotlanta to hang with Shawn's sister. We saw a giant whale shark at the Georgia aquarium, drove by MLK's house, and had lots of good soul food.
After Maryn forced Shawn to karaoke the Little Mermaid with her a bajillion times, they finally decided to dress the part! #halloween2018
Celebrating our second anniversary in Laguna Beach where we continued the lobstah roll tradition and enjoyed watching the sunset at a secret beach (Shawn may or may not have lost his hat and shoes to a giant wave).
Our first international trip together! We hiked the biggest glacier in NZ, saw the glow worm caves in Waitomo, and pretended to be Hobbits at the set of Lord of the Rings.
Shawn surprised Maryn on her birthday with a helicopter ride up to one of the most breathtaking views. At the top of Coromandel Peak in Wanaka, NZ with the theme song from Little Mermaid playing, he asked her to be a part of his world, forever.
