On November 17, 2018, Nathan and I were individually celebrating the marriage of good friends, Nicole Fontenot (my college roommate), and Anthony Herro (Nathan's long time friend). While at the reception, the opportunity presented itself and I asked one of the groomsmen, Matt Dreher, "who's your tall friend?" Before I could say another word, Matt had already found Nathan on the dance floor and brought him over to meet me. Needless to say we hit it off and shortly thereafter, took our first picture together. While taking this picture, Nathan and I jokingly laughed at the thought of sharing it with our kids.
The following day, Nathan suggested he change his flight back to Atlanta to 6:00 p.m. so we could spend the day together and we did just that!
What would be the beginning of many weekends spent apart, Nathan and I didn't see each other again until his visit in early December. I took him to all of my favorite places, including: Fenian's Pub (as shown in the picture), Half Shell Oyster House, and Hal & Mal's. We had an amazing weekend!
Talk about nerve-wracking! My first weekend in Atlanta I not only met his parents, but all of his co-workers as well. We had a blast at the Viasat holiday party; Nathan even taught me how to play Black Jack!
