We met on an impromptu date at Starbucks days before the covid lockdown. After dropping my friend Stanley off at the airport, I called her for the very first time and said... "Are you busy? Want to meet me for some coffee?" she hesitated and then said "Sure, Ok, now?" lol (I soon find out she's not the biggest fan of impromptu).
We met at a Starbucks in Fayetteville, GA and talked for three hours! The conversation just flowed effortlessly. We talked about more than the good pretty stuff on top that you would expect on a first date. We started talking about our faults and our mishaps. We dug deep into why we were single and our plans to better ourselves for our future selves. Little did we know, that working on ourselves made us ready for each other.
In 2020 when covid was running rampant I asked Marketta to come over for a date night at the house. "Lets dress up like we're going out and I'll cook. We'll eat just like we were out on the town... candlelight and all."
I think we both knew in this pic that we LOOOK GOOOOD together. This was Ray's first family trip with the Savage/Lewis crew. On this trip we went to Destin for a good weekend filled with bonding, laughing, and enjoying each other!
After a few months of serious dating and considering planning a future together, it was time that we set up a special date with Ray's daughter Alessandra. It was a fun-filled day with us enjoying bowling, dinner, and even the ferris wheel in Downtown Atlanta.
Side note: Before that, we had to keep all of the affection and the time we spent a secret. We've been inseparable ever since.
This was the first time Marketta and I spent Christmas together. Ray's mom came up for a visit for the holidays and we were able to enjoy our first holiday season together.
We took a trip with our families to Puerto Rico in 2010. From trying new foods, jumping off waterfalls, to ATV rides throughout the beautiful Rainforest, we did it all!
Even though Marketta SAYS she doesn't like Impromptu (marketta's side note: he KNOWS I don't like unplanned plans... I just love tattoos lol) ... we woke up this day and decided to go get matching tattoos! Since we're both Scorpios, we decided to incorporate that into our art. We used the constellation of Scorpio and added our birthdays in Roman numerals with other space-related items :)
