New York is our favorite city, not just because of its vibrancy and nightlife, but because that is where we met in September 2016, when Melissa worked as a manager in the hospitality industry, at a restaurant called Macondo, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Over the following weeks, a courtship began to take shape, and after several travels between Island and Mainland, Melissa relocated to sunny Puerto Rico, just in time for the holidays.
In 2018, on a wintery evening, over Thanksgiving weekend, under New York's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, Mario asked for Melissa's hand in marriage.
Later on, circumstances would prove challenging for wedding planning, until a vacation in Puglia sparked great excitement for a magical affair that could serve as a celebration of life, love, health, family, friendship, and leaving everything else behind. Now, we are as ready as we have ever been to share our love, hopes, and dreams with those who have blessed our lives with care, friendship, and prosperity. Beginning a new family is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and we can't wait to say "I Do" under the eyes of God, and witnessed by those whom we love and care about the most.
