BED + BREAKFAST

Pecan Tree Inn

A stay at the Pecan Tree Inn is the perfect opportunity to explore The Crystal Coast region of North Carolina. You may create memories that last a lifetime, surrounded by idyllic coastal scenery, charming towns with rich pasts, lush nature preserves, wildlife refuges, and many historical sites.

The Pecan Tree Inn is not your average bed and breakfast; this historic house was built in 1866 and remodeled in 1901 in the Victorian style. Once renovated in 1992, it turned into the Inn it is today. All rooms have been updated and remodeled over the past two years. We offer seven bedrooms, each with its bathroom, some with rain shower heads that give our guests a unique experience while staying in a historic home remodeled and redecorated with modern amenities and living spaces.

The Inn is a half-block from the yacht harbor’s boardwalk in the historic downtown district. Downtown Beaufort has so much to offer; there’s always something to do! Beaufort has terrific restaurants, lovely art galleries, a farmers’ market on Saturday, shopping, and several tour companies around town; we have emerald green water, wild horses, and birds galore on the Rachel Carson Reserve just across from Taylor’s Creek.

Langdon House

The ballast stones in the home’s foundation came to Beaufort aboard some of the first trade ships between the New World and England. In a sense, the oldest part of the home rests on British soil.

Benjamin Franklin published “Poor Richard’s Almanac” in 1732. Shortly thereafter, the initial house was built. Additions came in the 1790s, 1860s, and again in the 1920s. Furnished with an eclectic collection of antiques, there is a sense of the late-18th to early-19th centuries. Each of the five guest rooms has a queen-sized bed, private bath, room temperature control, and mini-refrigerator. It is also our home, hence,
we have an amenity for almost every need.

The Master Guest Room, our best, is secluded on the second floor and begs to be your hideaway with its sunlit master bath and huge jetted tub where two can float side-by-side.

Areas for all the guests include the first-floor parlor/dining area, the lower porch—loaded with rockers and Adirondak—chairs, and the exterior country-style gardens. Our property provides off-street parking for one vehicle per room.

Inn On Turner

Beaufort’s boutique lodging. Not a B+B, more than a hotel, Inn on Turner provides a European auberge experience.

Freshly renovated in 2022, the Inn boasts contemporary coastal decor and luxury linens with exceedingly comfortable pillowtop mattresses for an exceptional night’s rest.

Experience complimentary field-to-fork breakfasts and our happy hour with wine service. Stroll to dinner or dine "inn" as we prepare an exquisite meal for you! We proudly serve and support organic, local, and sustainable.

As the first in the area to be NC GreenTravel certified, accredited by Ocean Project and GottaBeNC Ambassadors, you are supporting Mother Earth, Mother Ocean, and family farms while enjoying your seaside escape.

Ann Street Inn

Surrounded by the charm of one of the oldest towns in North Carolina, the Ann Street Inn is housed in a beautiful, historic two-story home that was built in 1832. The Inn is decorated with heirlooms, art, and antiques that will transport you back to a time of quiet grace and simple pleasures. Ideally situated on a quiet, tree-lined street, the Inn is a haven of comfort and romance.

Each guest room has a private bath and is furnished and decorated in a different romantic theme; two of the rooms have whirlpool tubs. Each room includes luxury bath amenities—just bring your toothbrush! Cozy, yet elegant, living and dining areas complete your home away from home.

As the Inn has only three guest rooms, you can be assured that your needs and requests, be they restaurant recommendations or dietary requirements, will be personally handled. The Queen Ann is our first-floor suite. The Duke of Beaufort and Priscilla Potter rooms are on the second floor.

RESTAURANTS

Aqua

Aqua originated as a tapas restaurant in 2003 and has grown into a favorite spot for locals and visitors year-round.

Fresh, local flavors take priority at Aqua, and diners are likely to find sun-ripened local tomatoes, fresh-caught grouper, regional cheeses, and more among the menu choices.

Food is only so good without a proper drink in hand, and Aqua’s large but moderately priced wine selection, beer choices, and varied specialty martini list leave few wanting.

Bottled wine discounts on Friday, a $12 wine tasting twice monthly on Tuesdays, and wine dinners throughout the year allow enthusiasts to sip and explore.

Menu

Black Sheep

Every family has at least one or two: the misfit, the eccentric, the black sheep. They forge their own path. They march to their own drum. And it goes without saying, they tend to hang out in Beaufort.

At Black Sheep, we value great ingredients and even better people—quirks and all—to bring you food we love to eat. Our brick-oven pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, and salads feature the freshest local ingredients, and our artisanal charcuterie plates are inspired by flavors from down the street and across the ocean. From coffee to cocktails, our craft bar will fix you exactly what you need.
So, whether you are a black sheep—or just love one—come grab a spot at the bar, a seat at the table, or fresh air on our waterfront deck and let us show how we’re taking the different and the unique and making it work just right at Black Sheep.

Menu

Mezcalito

Mezcalito welcomes you to discover a unique take on Mexican cuisine with a Tex-Mex heart…a fascinating blend of both authentic, and fresh dishes, experiencing the bold flavors, and inspiring aromas that honor our Mexican heritage.

We feature classic favorites like chimichangas, enchiladas, and quesadillas, as well as some more adventurous traditional meals such as chamorro, molcajete, ceviche, or our mouth-watering tacos.

In addition to our flavorsome food, we also present a wide array of tequilas and mezcals in our vibrant bar, where our bartenders serve up beer, Micheladas, and of course, our amazing margaritas.

We invite you to discover, and enjoy all the traditions and flavors Mexico has to offer.

City Kitchen

Initially gaining a reputation for his first restaurant Front Street Grill, Bryan and Karen opened City Kitchen in 2013 as a quality of life restaurant. Open for dinners Tuesday - Saturday, it is located above Town Creek Marina in Beaufort, North Carolina. City Kitchen serves locally sourced food that has roots in traditional Caribbean, Asian, and Southern Cuisine. Bryan’s wife Karen makes most of the desserts in-house and is known for her Sticky Toffee Pudding, a traditional English dessert that has been tweaked to perfection. City Kitchen offers a perfect beginning, middle, and end to every meal. Join us for an intimate evening or a night out with friends. Reservations are generally required depending on the time of year, and we recommend calling at least a week in advance for parties larger than four. Parties of six are sadly the largest we can accommodate given our small size, and we cannot offer split table reservations. Call us anytime after 2 pm Tuesday - Saturday to make a reservation.
