Alvaro "Al" Silverio
Best Man

Alvaro “Al” and I first met at our Baylor Law orientation and since then have become the best golf and travel bros. We enjoy long talks on the phone and I also have to give him a shout out for becoming our honorary ‘third wheel.’

Al is one of the most loyal people I know and he’s helped me get through some of the toughest moments of my life. He’s everything you want in a friend, and I am happy to have him standing by my side on the biggest day of my life. Salud, brother!

Samuel "Sammy" Rajaratnam
Best Man

The first time Sammy and I met, I was introduced to him as “Britta’s boyfriend.” Like Britta, Sammy grew up in Waco but they never met. She coincidentally met Sammy through me.

One random week during law school together, Sammy and I were invited on an impromptu road trip to the Houston rodeo together. Fast forward 5 years and we are now best couple friends with he and his wife, Megan. It’s only fitting that I also have him standing by my side for the big day.

Abraham "AJ" Madrigal
Groomsman

AJ is my little brother and my closest friend. Growing up, AJ and I did all the sports and
music things together. I love this guy so much and watching him grow up has been a
true blessing.

With AJ now in college, these days were able to spend more time together in Austin and were definitely taking advantage of it. I am lucky to have him as a little brother and so happy he can be part of my wedding party.

Abdiel Salinas
Groomsman

Abdiel is my oldest friend. Our dads were both best friends when we were born, so naturally we quickly became childhood best friends in our own respect. I have an endless number of childhood and teenage memories with Abdiel and even though we don’t see each other that often anymore, I know I can count on him at any moment. It's truly an honor to have him be part of my big day.

Dominic "Dom" Gonzalez
Groomsman

Dominic “Dom” and I were close friends in high school and college and today he’s family. Literally. I’ve known Dominic since we were in Jr. High together playing for the percussion section in band. For many years Dom and I shared a mutual love for drumming, the Cowboys, playing basketball and football, etc.

We were so close that he eventually made his way to UTSA where I attended and later met my sister, his wife. He’s a brother to me in every way.

David "Eliud" Vazquez
Groomsman

Eliud is my cousin and one of my closest friends. When we were kids, we would spend most of our weekends together, barely sleeping and playing hours and hours of video games. Eventually, we graduated high school and both attended college at UTSA where we became even closer. Even though we don’t see each other very often these days, he is someone I can always depend on.

Jaylon Ward
Groomsman

This guy right here is one of the best people I know. And when it comes to loyalty, he knows a thing or two about it. We met while working at Abercrombie at La Cantera in San Antonio and quickly became great friends; eventually we became roommates my third year at UTSA.

Jaylon is one of my most trustworthy friends and I know I can depend on him at any time. I couldn’t be happier to have him as part of my team for the big day.

Joseph Lopez
Groomsman

Eeeee. Joseph aka J-Lo and I first met while working at Abercrombie at La Cantera in San Antonio. It didn’t take long for us to become great friends and eventually roommates for several years while at UTSA.

J-Lo has been one of my closest and most dependable friends for many years. And even though we live in different cities now, you bet we still take time to call, take trips together, play sports, or meet up whenever possible. It’s always a great time when J-Lo is involved.

Mason Dunnam
Groomsman

This ‘hermano’ right here is one of the most genuine people I know. Always looking to bring people together and have a good time, Mason quickly became one of my best friends during law school. Whether it’s our late-night jam sessions, taking trips to Colorado and New Orleans, or meeting up for UT events, it’s always a party when Mason is around. Also, I can’t forget to mention that he is mostly responsible for many of the closest friendships that I have today.

Patrick Kelly
Groomsman

Now here’s a guy… Most of my best law school memories involve Patrick in some way, shape, or form. I still remember the day we met–we were randomly assigned for a group scavenger hunt together on our first day of orientation at Baylor Law. Several minutes in, we discovered our mutual love (and pain) for our beloved Cowboys, and so obviously we had to become practice court partners.

Patrick was the friend who really got me through Baylor. We were roommates for our final two years of law school, we grinded through the toughest parts of it together.

Raul Rodriguez
Man of Honor

From painted faces for Longhorn football to board game nights with their other halves and everything in between, Raul has been my best friend.

When I first decided to visit Mark in D.C. (after just a few weeks of dating), instead of saying "you're crazy", Raul hopped on a plane and went with me. He has been there through thick and thin and is always the voice of reason. My perfect wedding day wouldn't be complete without Raul by my side.

Lily Gonzalez
Matron of Honor

She may be Marc's baby sister, but at 23 Lily was the first of her 4 siblings to get engaged, married, and buy a house(did I mention she did it all in a year?). Her determination and perseverance are some of the things I admire most about her.

I know I can always depend on Lily to pick up the phone, send me a funny TikTok, or be down to plan a vacation. I am so grateful for Lily's wedding planning experience, and excited I'll get to call Lily and Daisy my sisters!

Abby Griffith
Bridesmaid
I think the best part of Marc going to Baylor Law has been his friendship with Abby. She knows all the best happy hour & food spots AND puts up with Marc & I always being 15+ minutes late. She's also basically a professional bridesmaid; her help during the planning process has been priceless. Abby and her friendship have been a huge blessing to me and Marc, and we are forever grateful for her.
Bayli Armendariz
Bridesmaid

Bayli & I grew up in Waco and knew all the same people, but didn't officially meet until we happened to move into the same building in Austin.

One day I left One Direction cups on Bay's doorstep, and a few days later I came home to cookies on my doorstep. The rest is pretty much history. The two of us ended up moving in together, bought a guinea pig(Pippin), and spent most of our time on the couch watching movies or talking about nothing for a few hours.

Even though Bay lives in New York these days, I know I can call or text her any time, and she's always there to listen. I owe a whole lot to Vintage West Campus and One Direction cups for this forever friendship.

Daisy Martinez
Bridesmaid

Fun fact: I met Daisy on my very first date with Marc. Marc and I were on our way to grab dessert, and he said, ”Oh, by the way, we’re meeting my sister there”.

Daisy is Marc’s first born sister, and the sweetest of the bunch. She has a huge heart and, as cliché as it is, a smile that lights up any room. She’s always giggling at something and sharing her newest skincare/makeup recs. I'm so thankful to be gaining her as a sister!

Maddison Howard
Bridesmaid
My own baby sister! Maddie recently turned 13, and I have had so much fun watching her grow into the intelligent and quick-witted young woman she is today.

I will never forget when we had a snowball fight in the summer or when Maddie would park her little red electric car next to mine. I am so grateful God gave me such a fun little sister, and I'm glad Maddie gets to be a part of my big day!
Mary Ibarra
Bridesmaid

When I first met Marc, I was telling Mary about him and mentioned he was also from the Rio Grande Valley. Turns out, it's a very small world, and she actually graduated from Sharyland with him and knew exactly who he was. Luckily she only had good things to say, so he passed the best friend background check.

Mary and I are 2/3 of what we have lovingly come to call the "Sad Girls Club". Mary, Steph and I grew close though our service organization at UT. We were all struggling together through classes and growing pains and have spent countless nights laughing, crying, playing board or card games, sending memes, swapping clothes, and just about everything else. After my break from UT, I moved back to Austin and couch surfed for a bit before Mary and I became roommates. We have spent many hours sitting on each others beds and talking forever while we organize our rooms/lives.

The last 9 years of my life have been a whole lot easier with Mary to call, text, FaceTime, or just show up at her place. My bridal party would be incomplete without her.

Megan Rajaratnam
Bridesmaid

Another huge shout out to Baylor Law, because if Sammy and Marc hadn't met in law school, I would have never gotten to know Megan. I really met Megan for the first time at a 100th birthday party her and Sammy threw for their Waco house. She had turned on The Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio and while everyone else was socializing, the two of us sat there watching the movie. After that, I knew she was a kindred spirit.

Now that the four of us have been reunited in Austin, we get to see Sammy, Megan, and their sweet baby boy, Holden on a pretty regular basis. Megan answered every single one of my half a million wedding questions, and it has been such a blessing to have her, Sammy, and their marriage to look up to.

Peyton Moore
Bridesmaid

I first met Peyton through my job at Jamba Juice near UT's campus, but became friends with her over a bag of sour skittles at a spirit group party. In no time we were hanging out just about every day and cheering on the Longhorns together at football games. Peyton taught me everything I could possibly need to know about Chicago, baseball rivalries, and hockey, and even held my hand while I tried to learn to skate on the ribbon in downtown Chicago.

Peyton has been with me through wins, losses, triumphs, tribulations, and everything in between; it was only right to have her standing with me on my wedding day!

Stephanie Gore
Bridesmaid

A few years ago (almost 8, yikes!!!) I wrote a long post on Steph’s Facebook wall about how grateful I was that after only a year of knowing her, we had become best friends. I wrote about how much she had supported me in one of the toughest years of my life, and about how we’d stay up until the sun rose watching videos and looking at furniture on Craigslist, and about how she always welcomed me with open arms and an open pantry.  It has been EIGHT years since then and many, many things in our lives have changed, but Steph and all the things I love about her have always been a constant.
