It all started at a wine bar in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco on February 16, 2019. The bartender stayed open late after noticing how deep in conversation we were together. Lynsey went off to Cuba and Rishabh went off to Austin (a potential death sentence for any millennial couple), but a few weeks later the spark was still there -- this time at brunch in North Beach.
Four months in they took on China, and if you can survive the metro of Beijing together, you're set for life. Less than a year after that fruitful moment in the Beijing metro navigating directions in Mandarin, Rishabh got down on one knee at the historic and scenic Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe.
In the middle of a global pandemic, amid sharing a 600 square foot apartment 24/7 for more than 3 months straight, we decided on forever on May 28, 2020. Lynsey couldn't stop laughing, but hey, it was a complete surprise!
