Marseilles - Marseilles is a great little airport with quick access to the car hire depots. Isle sur la Sorgue is an easy 55 minute drive from Marseilles airport. You can also hire a taxi or uber for the drive if you prefer for a reasonable price.
Lyon / Nice - Both Lyon and Nice airports have direct flights from the UK and Dubai. The drive time to Isle sur la Sorgue is approximately 2.5 hours.
Train
An alternative route is to travel by TGV train. There are six trains per day leaving from Paris Gare de Lyon to Isle sur le Sorgue, and take approximately 5 hours. Please note you will need to change trains at least once in Marseille.
Should I hire a car?
If you feel comfortable driving we highly recommend hiring a car for your stay. The roads around Isle sur la Sorgue are extremely quiet, and having a car is the only way to fully explore the surrounding area, which is full of picturesque villages and vineyards.
For parking in Isle sur la Sorgue, you should contact your accommodation directly. If you are staying in the centre of Isle sur la Sorgue, you will likely need to park your car in a designated car park a short walk from your accommodation.
If you do not plan to leave Isle sur la Sorgue, you do not need a car. The town is small, quaint and easy to walk around - there are no steep climbs or busy roads. However, please note that you will need to walk from the train station to wherever you are staying. For transportation to the wedding events, please indicate in the RSVP that you require transport assistance and we will do our best to help.
Please note that there are limited taxis in the region.
