Wedding Weekend Travel
Fly into SeaTac Airport (SEA)
If you're planning to travel to Seattle we recommend flying into SeaTac airport.
If you plan to drive to Prosser, you should rent a car at the airport or in Downtown Seattle.
If you have other arrangements for getting to Prosser, the Light Rail is an easy and inexpensive way to get Downtown from the airport.
Fly into TriCities Airport (PSC)
If you want to bypass the drive to Prosser, we recommend flying into the TriCities Airport. You will more than likely connect through SeaTac but will cut your drive time down to about 20 minutes.
We recommend renting a car in the TriCities as Prosser has no public transportation or regular taxi/uber service.
Things To Do and See Along the Way!
The drive from Seattle to Prosser takes around 3 hours.* We highly recommend driving, it is truly a spectacular way to experience Washington State and one of our favorite trips.
* Please allow ample time if you're driving back for a Monday flight. Traffic will be heavy.
Here's a few stops we love to make along the way:
- Snoqualmie Pass: Exit 52 on I-90. Stop for a Beer at Dru Bru (10 Pass Life Way #3, Snoqualmie Pass, WA 98068)
- Roslyn: Exit 80 on I-90, Left on Bullfrog Road, Follow Signs to Roslyn at the Second Roundabout. Wander through the site of Northern Exposure, have lunch at Roslyn Cafe and stop in at Heritage Distilling.
- Cle Elum: Exit 84 on I-90. Pop into Owen's Meats and stock up on beef jerky (502 E 1st St. Cle Elum, WA 98922) or feed your sweet tooth at Cle Elum Bakery (501 E 1st St. Cle Elum, WA 98922).
- Yakima: Exit 34 on I-82, Follow WA 24 E to Birchfield Road. If you're ready for a refreshment, pull off at Bale Breaker Brewery. The taproom is beautiful and the people could not be nicer. (1801 Birchfield Road, Yakima, WA 98901)
- Union Gap: Exit 36 on I-82. Pull off for a delicious tamale at Los Hernandez (3706 Main St., Union Gap, WA 98903 - Closed on Sunday). If you're craving a classic, stop in to the Pepp'rmint Stick Drive In for a burger and shake (4002 Main St., Union Gap, WA 98903). Ben gets a Dave's Big Deluxe with cheese and a peppermint shake. Loretta keeps her fingers crossed that they're running the cheesesteak special (and fries, of course).
