Lizzie and Maddie met while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. If there is anyone in this crew who has a cuter "How-We-Met" story other than Lizzie and Gabe, it's Lizzie and Maddie. The pair became inseparable while on a day vacation in Rome. Lizzie, a Roman history nerd, and Maddie, a Classical Antiquities major at FSU, quickly connected over their love of ancient history and the rest is history.
Sarah and Lizzie have obviously known each other the longest amount of time among the bridesmaids - since Lizzie was born. Lizzie stood by Sarah as her Maid of Honor on her wedding day over ten years ago. It's an honor to have Sarah return the favor by standing as her Matron of Honor on her wedding day.
Robyn and Lizzie met freshman year of college when riding together to their first college party. Robyn, a Kappa Delta, asked Lizzie if she was a DG, which she responded, "No, I'm in KD!" It was a happy realization as the two quickly bonded that night, with their friendship growing stronger thanks to their mutual membership in the sorority. Unfortunately for Lizzie, Robyn left UNF sophomore year to pursue a degree in Nursing at Florida Gulf Coast. Thankfully, that was not the end of their friendship and they continued to remain close.
Emily is Lizzie's "DC-Day One" friend. The two met while interning in a Florida Congressman's office back in 2017. Emily and Lizzie went on to work for different offices on Capitol Hill, but always remained close. Despite being each other's competition in search of Capitol Hill jobs, the internship proved to solidify their close friendship.
Courtney, otherwise known as Bourtney, was a random roommate of Lizzie's. In fact, Lizzie saw a Facebook post when she was deciding to move to DC asking for a girl to take over the basement room in the five-person home. (Side note: that room also had a curtain for a door). In spite of the home's state, Lizzie quickly realized how blessed she was to be living there as her friendship with Courtney quickly grew. Courtney and Lizzie now work at the same firm together and continue to surprise their colleagues when they share that they initially started off as random roommates.
