TRAVELLING TO NASHVILLE
VISA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Australians must apply for an ESTA to enter the United States.
The ESTA application is very easy and straightforward but must be completed in a timely manner for you to fly. The ESTA is valid for two years from the date of authorization and is generally valid for multiple trips over a period of two years. The application cost is $21USD to be processed. It is recommended that you apply for ESTA at the time you book your travel, but no less than 72 hours prior to boarding. We highly recommend completing this early as the US Government processing times can vary.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PRINT YOUR ESTA APPLICATION APPROVAL. The website says you do not need the approval printed but officers have previously requested a hardcopy upon arrival. We also highly recommend printing out your hotel and flight itinerary as well as contact details below.

International & Domestic Travelers
When travelling to Nashville you will be arriving at the Nashville International Airport (BNA). Travelling from Australia to Nashville will require a stop over in another major international airport (i.e. Los Angeles LAX is the most common stop over).
We encourage that you start planning flights and accommodation as soon as possible. We are also happy to help clarify any details with you if you need to so feel free to contact Liv & Alex for more assistance.
When arriving at the Nashville airport we recommend taking a taxi from the airport to your hotel. There is a flat rate of $30 from the airport to downtown Nashville which is where we are encouraging guests to stay (for more information please read the Hotel section of this website). We encourage you to read the Nashville airport ground transport link below as some hotels also offer a shuttle service and there is also information on ride share apps such as Uber/Lyft.
Nashville is a driving city so the use of Uber/Lyft is common and easy to use. We would encourage you to check wait times for these ride share apps however as sometimes they can take around 10-15min wait times due to how big Nashville is (we don't want you to be caught off guard!).
Requirements for Travel
We are requiring that all guests are fully vaccinated in order to attend our wedding.
It is recommended that you keep a hardcopy/printout of your vaccination status while travelling. We also encourage you to keep a photo of your proof of vaccination and drivers licence/passport on your phone.
Before travelling please ensure to check the covid restrictions and requirements for entering the United States and returning to Australia. Particularly as this is a changing situation please ensure you have reviewed whether the necessary covid test is required before your flight.
Whilst in Nashville masks are not required however we encourage you to do whatever you feel makes you comfortable. We highly encourage you to take extra precautions while travelling internationally. Particularly the use of masks whilst in airports and on flights to help keep yourself and other guests covid safe.
International travelers if you have any questions please reach out to Liv for clarification.

Places to Eat
There is a lot to eat in Nashville! Some of Alex and Liv's favourite places for a nice dinner is The Optimist which is a wonderful seafood restaurant (highly recommend for a date night!). We also LOVED Tailors which is a Guajarati Indian restaurant, this is a ticketed event so you need to purchase in advance but its extremely worth it!
If you're in Nashville for the first time you should try make your way out to Loveless although its not close so having your own car or going in a group is best. We also recommend Martins BBQ for a good group activity!
For dessert (or a 9am snack, we're not judging) we absolutely love Five Daughters doughnuts in 12 South. Liv's choice is the Vanilla Cream but there's so many options. We also highly recommend a chocolate chip cookie from Crumbl (but you only need one, not six!).
