Our version of "boy meets girl" is one where we discovered that underneath the beautiful exterior (vain much lol) laid two even more amazing souls looking to be loved right and who wanted to make magic forever
A picture of a gorgeous specimen popped up on my timeline on instagram. I messaged my friend Chiemeka who had liked the picture to compliment the guy in the picture (yes there was lady in the picture with him *covering my face*)
Chimex told me he went to school with Kene and that he was not single, imagine my fake anger! "Chiemeka am i not allowed to compliment God's creation anymore?" Few days later chimex messaged me "Nne remember the guy you were drooling all over? he is single can i give him your number" My response "1.i wasn't drooling and 2.didn't you say he wasn't single". As it turned out Kene was single and the lady in the picture was his sister. Kene messaged me a few days later, I will let him tell you about my "shakara" as it took him 1 year 6 months to finally win my heart completely
Unlike Nne i don't remember all the details, all i know is i got her number, as a confident lord hahahaha i messaged her. We met up in Paris about 2 weeks of me reaching out to her and i knew then she was my wife!
Im not ashamed to say this was the first woman i had "chased". Everything about me was tested, imagine for someone who was drooling over me what if i was the one drooling first.
Going through the "fire" produced a better version of me and i will forever love her for this!
So on this day we actually set out of the house mad at each other. we both cant remember the reason for the fight but this is the weird part, the smiles weren't even fake.
Bride: I love that i don't have to fake emotions with you
Groom: Still cant believe i followed you to the shoot after annoying me but i'm glad that, no matter how i feel, i will still go to the end of the world for and with you!
The groom was in Jo'burg for "work", It was the bride's birthday , it was Easter we thought why not? let's do it! So despite the fact that it was going to be a fifteen hour flight and 2 changes all we could think about was spending this period together. Plus we had just gotten traditionally married a week before :)
Groom: It was a major sacrifice on her part and i was trying to hide my excitement when Nne proposed it. I didn't want the stress for her but my God! i needed to see my new wife and really i missed this woman that i now cant seem to live without
Bride: Honestly, i'm not sure how i ended up proposing the trip other than the fact that i always travel for my birthday and this time i really wanted to spend it with hubby. So after 15 hours and a total of 5 flights in 3 days, 2 nights, this was the best birthday ever!!!
PS: Dont judge us too much, it's going to be a few days of "there is food at home" for us hahahahah
We have loads of stories, but we are saving them for our dinner parties and our children, we plan to throw quite a few and have quite a few ;)
Bride: This is the beginning of a beautiful forever. Let's make memories and grow old together. Now i no longer have to wonder if the stars are out where you are, I AM your Duchess for Life! To forever Chiso'm!
