How we met

Michael and Lillian met at Marquee nightclub in Las Vegas in August 2012. Lillian was partying in with her best friends and was newly single for the first time in years. Michael moved from Germany to Los Angeles and was taking his childhood friend to visit Vegas. At around 2am, Lillian and her friend Jackie lost all their friends and wandered out to the Marquee rooftop. Lillian met Michael and within a few minutes, the group was sharing tequila shots, dancing, and that was the start of it! At the time, Lillian was working for Deloitte and had to travel to San Jose weekly. Instead of flying back to Orange County, Lillian spent the next couple of weekends flying to LA to see Michael. They made their relationship exclusive within the first few weeks and that was it :)

Our Journey

A love story isn’t a love story without ups and downs. Michael and Lillian went through a lot together. After their first year together, Lillian moved to New York to get her MBA at Columbia Business School. Long distance wasn’t easy on their relationship, but they made a point to see each other every 3 weeks. During that time, Michael was launching his own business in metal architecture and design with his brother. Through business school, they traveled together to the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand. Once business school was over, Lillian moved into Michael’s LA apartment and they spent the next year on a wedding marathon, attended over 18 weddings in total. Once things calmed down, Lillian and Michael started their first house flipper project, their first of many (hopefully!).
From that point, their relationship entered a new phase - stability. Lillian quit her consulting job at Deloitte and went to Snapchat, where she no longer needed to travel. Michael continued to expand his company and leased a large warehouse for his new shop. They continued to go through challenges of life, but this time, they had the opportunity to face these challenges together as a couple. What doesn't kill makes you ready for marriage lol.

The Engagement

Michael proposed in 2019 after Lillian bothered him about it for a year. She even tried reverse psychology and when that didn’t work, Lillian give him a deadline - before her 31st birthday :) (let’s be honest, no dude willingly proposes without a ton of hints)
That summer, the couple was driving up to Pismo Beach for a small family vacation. Michael wanted to stop by Santa Barbara pier on the drive up to “use the restroom”. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen. When they got on the pier, Michael got down on one knee. Lillian started screaming out of excitement and never got to hear his speech. To this day, she still hasn’t heard his speech because he won’t do it again. Of course Lillian said yes and they followed with a family celebration in Pismo Beach.

The rest is history and we hope you will be part of it!

Our baby son Leo

Leo is the luckiest baby dog in the world. We just wanted to share a photo of his cuteness and encourage everyone to adopt shelter pups. He has made us such happy and proud parents.

Baby Jack

Our boy Jack was born on May 6, 2021. With Covid quarantine in place and Lillian being able to work from home, we decided to have our baby early. Jack will be joining us at our wedding and we're excited for him to meet everyone!
