It was a cool evening when Lesli-Ann and her mother decided to attend a musical performance by Emily Dixon at Devon House on Sunday February 16, 2014. As she made her way around to greet the Elliott family, Michael introduced himself to her. They both realized that they had a common interest - Art and made a connection.
Michael could not resist a follow up conversation with Lesli-Ann and asked her on a date at Bin 26 (formerly at Devon House as well). He allowed Lesli-Ann to select her wine of choice to which she selected "Middle Sister" a moscato they quite enjoyed. This was the beginning of many new experiences that they would share together.
Some months had passed with the occasional invitation from Michael to go to the movies or another place of interest. They both little by little learned more about each other until Michael's intentions grew deeper until the relationship was officially ushered in on November 29, 2015.
They spent many memorable occasions together during which they got acquainted with family on both sides.This included Lesli-Ann indoctrinating Michael into activities like soca parties and spirited games nights with friends.
Lesli-Ann's and Michael's interests are closely intertwined in the arts, especially in photography. They share a common creative spirit especially when it comes to conceptual ideas on social commentary, which led them to host an exhibition of photography called "Double Exposure" together in November 2017.
As time went on Michael knew that he wanted Lesli exclusively....forever amid the hints from her and family members on both sides. Michael began to plan with his heart and mind as to when to pop the question which came eventually on New Year's Eve 2018 at dinner with her friends at the Majestic restaurant in Stony Hill, St. Andrew.

Lesli-Ann thought she was just going to have dinner with a few friends at Majestic restaurant December 31, 2019. Little did she know that Michael had grander plans.
