Drs. Leilani & Fernando

Erik is Fernando's best friend and is the guy who always brings out the best of everyone. Erik played a key role for Fernando to come out of his shell and take life less seriously and enjoy the NOW! Yeah he is the one who said, just ask her (Leilani) to dance.

Thank you Erik for always giving me a different perspective and for pushing me out of my comfort zone.

Zack is one Fernando's best friends and they have grown significantly since they first met in undergrad school, they evolved from drinking out of beer bongs to planning for financial success and retirement.  Yeah big change...

Thank you Zack for inspiring me to be fiscally responsible, although I dont listen all the time, you always come to mind before I make big moves.

Jesus is Fernando's oldest brother and has been one his best mentors and has pushed him for the better time and time again. As a matter of fact, when Fernando graduated from high school and moved to Phoenix, AZ for college, Jesus bet him $500 that he would not last even 6 months and would come crying back home. Fernando with the mindset of proving his brother wrong and the fuel of not failing he stayed in Phoenix, and still lives in Phoenix, but years later Fernando realized that his brother was simply using reverse psychology so that he would succeed.

Thank you brother for all that you do for me and our family, however, you still owe me those $500...

Carlos is Fernando's older brother and he taught Fernando many things, from building a working computer one piece at a time to growing a passion for electronic dance music (EDM). Carlos opened the world for Fernando in many ways and is grateful to have a brother that always looks out for him making sure he is always okay. Carlos has always been the guy that can fix anything or resolve any problem, Fernando learned this from him which has helped him grow into the person he is today.

Thank you brother for being a good role model and for always helping our parents.

Yaphet and Fernando have both grown significantly since they both met. Fernando has seen a great transformation in Yaphet that has inspired Fernando to become more spiritual and be more grateful for all that G*d provides. Their experience while visiting Israel with the family was life changing which has inspired Fernando to learn more about spirituality.

Thank you Yaphet for inspiring me and showing me a new path.

Santos is one of Fernando's newest friends and in the short time they have known each other, Santos has inspired Fernando to be the best man he can be. Santos always does what is right and has shown Fernando the importance of integrity. Fernando has great respect for Santos and is thankful for his friendship.

Thank you Santos for always having my back and inspiring me to do the right thing always.

Luis is the first friend Fernando made when he moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2002, together Luis and Fernando have grown significantly and graduated from school together. Luis inspired Fernando multiple times to run and complete half-marathons which instilled discipline in Fernando's character.  Without Luis, Fernando may not have been successful in Phoenix, AZ as Fernando debated going back to El Paso, TX  numerous times.

Thank you Luis for helping me get through college and for being a great friend.

Frank and Fernando moved from El Paso, TX to Phoenix, AZ in the pursuit of obtaining a college degree. Although they did not become friends until after they moved to Phoenix, AZ, they have been there for each other through all the ups and downs. Frank has always inspired Fernando the importance of being a good friend and to always do the right thing.

Thank you Frank for always being an amazing friend and for always being there for me when I needed a friend the most.

Johnny and Fernando became friends while they both learned to improve their dancing skills. They were part of the same dance team where they learned from each other in many ways, over the years their friendship has grown. Johnny has always inspired Fernando by his ability to be so lively and bring energy to any social gathering.

Thank you Johnny for always inspiring me to enjoy the moment and loosen up a bit. Leilani and Fernando look forward to having more double dates with you and Marissa.

Homar and Fernando have known each other for many years thanks to Cesar Garcia. Homar has been a great mentor to Fernando over the years and has inspired him to pursue his education and get to the next level. Although they might not agree as to who is the better poker player between them both, they do agree about the importance of family and friendship.

Thank you Homar for being a good mentor, one day we will see who is the better poker player.

Jose and Lupe are Fernando's parents and have always done everything they can to help Fernando achieve his goals and dreams. They have always provided a loving home that created a great foundation for Fernando to become the person he is today. Fernando is very grateful to have them as parents and will do anything and everything to protect and provide for them. 

Gracias mamá y papá por estar siempre ahí para mí. Sé que siempre puedo contar con ustedes dos, ambos pueden contar conmigo para estar allí para ustedes tambien. Los quiero mucho, finalmente me casaré.
