Vignamaggio, nestled in the Chianti hills, is both a historic organic farm with a wine cellar dating to 1404 and the birthplace of Giovanni da Verrazzano, discoverer of New York Bay. Surrounded by forests and streams, this Tuscan villa merges its rich agricultural roots with a legacy of exploration, capturing the charm and history of the Tuscan landscape.

1) FROM MILAN TO FLORENCE
From Milano Malpensa airport the most convenient option is to take the Malpensa express train from the airport to Milano Centrale train station and from there take a fast train to Florence. To go from Florence to Vignamaggio, please, see below.

2) FROM ROME TO FLORENCE
From Roma Fiumicino airport the most convenient option is to take the Leonardo express train from the airport to Rome Termini train station and from there take a fast train to Florence. 3) FROM PISA TO FLORENCE
From Pisa airport the most convenient option is to take the Pisa Mover shuttle from the airport to the train station. And then take a train from Pisa train station to Florence.

The roads in Tuscany are narrow and winding. It is easy to get lost. Be careful!
4) FROM FLORENCE TO VIGNAMAGGIO
If you are staying at Borgo Vignamaggio, the best option is to take a taxi cab to Vignamaggio (around 45 min driving distance from Florence).
If, on the other hand, you do not stay at Borgo Vignamaggio but in a nearby hotel, then you are better off renting a car. Here is a useful link: Car rentals in Firenze airport
We recommend you to bring or hire a sat nav / GPS or use your mobile phone for navigation: although there are signs to the main towns / attractions, some of the places you will want to reach will be slightly off the most beaten track.
The closest main airports are:
• Firenze Peretola (about 45 minutes by car)
• Pisa (about 1 hours and 35 minutes by car)
• Roma Fiumicino (about 3 hours and 30 minutes by car or 1 hour 30 minutes by train)
• Milano Malpensa (about 4 hours and 20 minutes by car)
