On June 10th, 2023 we decided to hold a small ceremony in New Orleans for our immediate family. It was important to us that Ismail's mom was able to be present for our vows AND that Amanda had insurance (Harvard was giving her the boot on July 31st).
We have been life partners for several years. We purchased a home together in March of 2022 in Montgomery, and we have been sharing in the highs and lows of life as each other's counsel, friend, thought partner, and cheerleader for several years.
We have been enjoying newly wed life for the last few months, and we are so excited to celebrate our union with our family and friends on our 1 year anniversary!
