General Travel Guide
There are plenty of flights from the USA to Aruba. From Indiana, airlines such as American, Delta, or United are good options with a layover or two. From Florida, Jet Blue is also an alternative. Note that at your return to the US, consider to be at the airport 3 hours in advance to your flight. US Customs and Immigration is done here.
If Europe is your point of departure to come to Aruba, consider KLM flying through Amsterdam as a convenient route.
Cabs-Buses-Car rental
Aruba is a very small island, meaning distances are very short. You can easily take a taxi. There is no Uber or Lyft though on the island.
A taxi rate from the airport to the high rise hotel area is between 25 to 30 USD.

Imagine to be in Peru at a market place with authentic craftsmanship, ceviche made table side at the patio and a more formal fare in the restaurant.
Asi es mi Peru, opened in late 2016 at Paradise Beach Villas by Peruvian-born Roxanna Salinas, features a genuine Peruvian Cevicheria. The cevicheria also serves Tiradito, a variation of ceviche and reminiscent of Japanese sushi, deliciously marinated with a smoky aji amarillo. The restaurant gazebo features a Peruvian market place where you can buy typical Peruvian crafts with a portion of the proceeds for the Aruba’s Cancer Foundation.
Inside, the restaurant is a more formal dining room featuring the food that made Peru famous: Lomo saltado (a sauteed beef), Aji de Gallina (a creamy chicken dish) and a number of typical preparations you would love.

In the middle, more southern area of Aruba there’s this little town called Savaneta. This sleepy fisherman town has a long marine history and is best known for its fish piers. Savaneta was Aruba’s first capital.
Savaneta is host to a couple of fancy restaurants but is also home of an awesome little place called “Zeerovers”. This is a Dutch word which means “pirates”. Zeerovers serves fish and drinks at local prices. We also sell freshly caught fish to go. Fish you can grill later at you hotel.
The vibe there is really colloquial. When arriving you’ll notice many colorful houses in the area and outside Zeerovers many parked cars. This place is popular with locals. As soon as you walk inside there’s a counter on the left where one can purchase fresh fish to go. Walking further you’ll see a deck with chairs and tables, perhaps hosting a group of loud seasoned locals playing domino. The backdrop is a gorgeous ocean view. The menu is seafood and beer (also non-alcoholic). Prices? Local. Good deal.
Kitchen hours are from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and the kitchen is closed on Mondays.
