Ba Ghetto (Kosher)
One of our favorite kosher restaurants in the Jewish ghetto! Janine’s favorite dish is the pappardelle with lamb ragu and Lee loves the Carbonara. Of course if you’re in the Jewish ghetto though you have to try the famous Carciofi all Giudia (Jewish artichokes)!

For a kosher dairy restaurant option, try Ba Ghetto’s sister restaurant for the most delicious cacio é pepe and four cheese pasta.

Useful Tips

Good to know before you go

1. Bring converters to charge your phones, electronics, blow dryers, etc. The cheapest and easiest option is to purchase one on Amazon before you go.

2. If you need to take out money while over there then use an ATM with a debit card and not a bank. Also, some credit cards wave transfer fees so it could be helpful to look into that beforehand.

3. Keep an eye on your things (as always, in any big city).  In crowded settings like the metro and the main tourist places, always keep your purse close, phone out of your back pocket, and stay aware of your surroundings.

4. Walk as much as you can when in Rome - mainly because it's beautiful and it's the best way to see the city, but also because Rome is perfect for walking.

5.  What to wear when exploring the city - we recommend wearing a pair of sneakers during the day! They will keep you comfortable all day long.

6. Both Taxis and Ubers are great options to move around Rome. For airport transfers, the easiest and cheapest way to get to your hotel/Airbnb will most likely be a taxi. Or, you can ask the hotel to arrange a car service which will only cost a little bit more.
