You are one of our loved ones and we hope you will be joining us at our wedding. With this age of COVID we know these have become uncertain times for many people attending events like weddings. We are committed to taking precautions for the safety of everyone in attendance at our wedding.
In order to make our reception as safe and carefree as possible we are asking that only individuals that are fully vaccinated attend the reception. We have chosen to maintain this precaution even if the government has lifted that requirement. Thank you for making our big day beautiful and our party safe and carefree for everyone in attendance.
For individuals that have travelled internationally within the two weeks prior to the wedding, or who think they may have been in a setting where exposure might be more possible, we are asking that you take a further precaution. In these cases we ask that you take a test prior to attending. This precaution will further protect all individuals in attendance.
If you have chosen not to be vaccinated please RSVP that you will not be attending the reception. If you have chosen not to be vaccinated and you choose to attend the church ceremony please also note that choice on the RSVP. We are asking that all individuals that have chosen not to be vaccinated test prior to entering the church. For the safety of all of our guests we respectfully request that any individuals that are not vaccinated keep their distance from other guests and also not physically interact with us or the wedding party.
We will have Rapid Antigen Test kits available at both the church and the reception venue for anyone that does not have their own test kit available. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior in order to allow for the testing and wait time.
At this time, as a further precaution we are also asking that individuals wear masks at the church and reception unless they are actually eating and drinking.
We are excited and looking forward to sharing this very special step in our journey as a couple with all of you. Stay Safe, Lauren & Alex

We (Alex and Lauren) found ourselves on an interesting path to the realization God is calling each of us to the vocation of marriage. It wasn't until after we fell away from our faith and found our way home to the Catholic Church that we each came to see what God had in store for our lives, though this took much prayer and discernment.
Eventually we both decided to try seeking out who God had planned for us by trying online dating through Catholic Match. We found each other unexpectedly and realized that God was asking us to get to know each other as friends to see if we could build the foundation of a strong potential romantic relationship.
After meeting online in August of 2020 our friendship quickly blossomed and on March 27th 2021 we decided to enter a formal courtship. The pandemic posed many challenges along the way yet it never discouraged us from pursuing the relationship. It became so clear to us that we were not only called to marriage, but called to marry each other and on September 5th 2021 in front of Our Lord's house (St. Clement Church in Etobicoke) Alex decided to get down on one knee and ask for my (Lauren’s) hand in marriage. After we got engaged we shared in a beautiful moment of love and prayerful thanksgiving.
On October 23rd, at my (Lauren’s) parish of St. Joseph Church in Streetsville, before Our Lord, we got betrothed according to the Traditional Roman Rite. Thus making our engagement a public binding promise to marry.
There are not words for the joy and fulfillment we feel having now found each other. We challenge each other daily to be better and to strive for heaven in all we do. Our Christ centered relationship has been a pillar of strength and hope to us through the last year and a half and we thank God daily for the gift of our mutual vocation to marriage and for each other.
