The wedding party, our parents, and our grandparents are asked to attend a wedding rehearsal at 5:30pm at President Lincoln's Cottage. If traveling, please allow a few hours in DC before the event in case you arrive late. Attire is dressy casual.

Following the rehearsal, the wedding party, their dates, our parents, and our grandparents are invited to a rehearsal dinner at Jug and Table at 7pm. Jug and Table is the first floor of "our place," Roofers Union, showcasing wine and playing vinyl records. The chef, Marjorie Meek-Bradley, was a finalist on the most recent season of Bravo's Top Chef.

Dress is semiformal or cocktail. It will be warm, so please be comfortable, even if that means forgoing a jacket. Keep in mind that you'll be walking on grass.

We are planning events for both inside and outside the cottage, or just inside should it rain.

The catered reception will feature local ingredients, including dual-plated short ribs from an ethical farm in Virginia and crab caught in Maryland. There are additional entree options for vegetarians and children. Please indicate your selections on your RSVP card, making note of dairy or shellfish allergies and disinclination for beef or gluten.

Directions at The closest Metro station is Georgia Avenue/Petworth (0.8 miles).

If you don't have a car, we recommend getting to and from the cottage via taxi or Uber. Get your first ride free (and send us a free ride) with promo code 7hyad.

Free parking is available on site. When you enter the Eagle Gate to the Soldier's Home, turn left onto Lincoln Drive. There is a parking lot just past the visitor center on your left. If it is full, there is a second, further parking lot down Lincoln Drive on the other side of the Scott Building.

For our friends that aren't ready for the party to end, there is a restaurant and bar across the street from the cottage specializing in beer and burgers.

The day after the wedding, we are planning for an informal, come-and-go picnic along the National Mall while our guests visit museums.

We'll message our exact location through the app, or text Laura or Aldo.

We'll plan to arrive around 6pm to save seats near the Washington Monument. Entering the National Mall on July 4th will require clearing security. For more information, see
