How it started

Spencer and Kristin met at her work during the summer of 2019, in Michigan. Following their first meeting, Kristin gave Spencer her phone number on a piece of paper. Spencer will forever claim he threw it away on accident. Regardless, he never called or texted. Over the next couple weeks, through some mutual friends and family, Spencer and Kristin were able to kindle their relationship. Prompting a spontaneous kiss by Spencer, the two planned their first date for September 2nd (Labor Day), 2019. During Golf they got to enjoy the presence of one another’s company and relax, watching the sunset and a few birdies fly by. After Golf the two agreed to get fajitas for dinner. Sharing fajitas and conversation until the restaurant was ready to close. Kristin and Spencer discussed their similar world views,  experiences, and how a recent job offer she accepted would be taking her life to Houston, Texas in a month. Spencer had a sister and brother in-law living just 15 minutes away from where Kristin’s new home would be. Spencer spoke of his visits to H-Town. How special the city was for him and what he looked forward to her experiencing.  Growing up on opposite sides of the same hometown. There were many opportunities where through mutual acquaintances, their paths nearly crossed. They were under each other’s noses this whole time. Orbiting around one another, never knowing how close each other’s soulmate.

Houston

This is the city where Kristin and Spencer fell in love and started building their life together. Following the long (13 month) long distance relationship and the COVID-19 pandemic, they finally were together in the same city. The first trip in November was to San Antonio where Kristin got to meet with family and friends. Shelby and Matt had scheduled a bike trip so during their excursions the Bride and Groom to be went out and began their first of many Texas adventures. From exploring the downtown riverwalk, sipping coffee from the local barista and strolling through the Japanese Garden. Be sure to ask Kristin about the drive home.

Up until this point, Kristin and Spencer only went on dinner dates for Fajitas, until these two foodies fell deeper in love with each other and Crawfish Season.

There was not a weekend during that year in Houston that was not stuffed with things to do.  From meeting all the friends Kristin was able to make in her first year in Houston, spending time with Spencer's family, golfing, exploring the must-sees around houston and trips to Austin and Galveston.

Atlanta

Spencer and Kristin relocated to Atlanta Georgia in October of 2021.  They moved into a smaller town that reminded them of Frankenmuth, Michigan but with many more breweries.

Spencer proposed to Kristin in Roswell, Georgia along The Vickery Creek Trail on March 18th, 2022. Surprising her with an engagement shoot to capture the moment. Followed by a special surprise from family and loved ones. This experience has been a great opportunity for these two love birds to explore their surroundings. All that Atlanta has to offer.

The two have had a very busy year with hosting family and friends who are visiting from out of town, golfing, drinking beer, hiking Stone Mountain, exploring downtown atlanta, relaxing at the Georgia Aquarium, catching a Braves game and enjoying our favorite Pizza (Anticos) at the Battery.
