Broad Axe Barn at Devil's Thumb Ranch

Please join us for a welcome party to kick off our wedding weekend celebration!!

Cocktails and light bites will be served.

Attire: Mountain Casual

(what you would wear to a country concert! jeans, boots, sun dresses, etc)

Our Wedding Ceremony

Please join us as we exchange our vows nestled among the rolling hills and rugged mountains of the Ranch Valley Creek at Devil's Thumb. Although it is June, please make sure to check the weather before you pack. It can get chilly at night! 

Attire: Mountain Formal (aka formal cocktail attire but don't be afraid to toss in a bolo tie or a cowboy hat! Ladies, feel free to wear a long dress! The bride LOVES!)

Please, no white outfits as that color is reserved for the bride.

Cocktail Hour

Please join us for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres immediately after the ceremony. Cocktail Hour will be held on the lawn outside of the High Lonesome Lodge. 

Dinner and Dancing

Please join us for our reception in the High Lonesome Lodge. Don't forget your dancing shoes because we have booked an awesome band! 

After Party

The Ranch House Restaurant

After the party it's the AFTER PARTY! If you want to continue the fun with us, we will be going to the Ranch House just steps away from the barn to close out the night!

Wedding FAQ's

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

While we love your little ones, we really look forward to celebrating with YOU!! Respectfully, our wedding is an adult-only affair (21+). 

Can I bring a date?

Please check your wedding invitation for a +1! 

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors, pending weather. Dinner & the reception will be indoors, but it is the mountains in Colorado so please plan to bring any and everything to be prepared (umbrella, sweater, etc.)

Dress Code

What is "mountain formal"?

For Men: A suit and tie or a dinner jacket and dress pants are still appropriate, but consider adding a touch of the theme to your look. Earthy tones such as tans, browns, greens, and blues are great ways to give a subtle nod to the ambiance. Or, for more flair, consider a bolo tie or some nice cowboy boots.

For Women:  A long dress, your dressiest jumpsuit, or chicest cocktail dress are appropriate, but consider selecting boho-style pieces made from soft, flowing fabrics in Earthy tones or with subtle nature patterns, such as leaves or touches of lace and fringe. Think of ways that you can lean into the mountain feel like a jacket with faux fur, flowy fabrics, turquoise jewelry, a cowboy hat or a nice, knit sweater (especially if you get chilly as the sun goes down). Long dresses encouraged!
