Kenya and Will met in 2015 while living in San Antonio, Texas. Will was studying for his PhD at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Kenya was working as a Health Educator at the same University.
Although they were at the same University, they actually met at a meet & greet social hosted by Will's fraternity. Kenya was sitting in a corner by herself when Will approached her and they began talking. One week later, they had their first date... dinner and drinks at Bar Louie.
Kenya and Will officially started dating in March 2016. One year after they first met. Since then, they have enjoyed doing some of their favorite things together: traveling the country, golfing, going to festivals, pop-ups, concerts and trying new restaurants.
In 2017, Will received his PhD and moved to California to pursue his career as an Assistant Professor at the University of La Verne. After a year of long distance dating, Kenya moved to Cali in 2018 to start a new job as a Health Educator at Cal Poly Pomona. May of 2020, they bought their first house.
Kenya and Will got engaged on December 10th 2022 in Montgomery, AL.
