Accommodation

Air BnB - Private accommodation

Air Bnb lists many share houses in the area that can be booked for families. Some accommodations will have a minimum night booking during this time, so be sure to clearly read the terms and conditions.

This event will be held over a long weekend in one of the busiest periods for the Mornington Peninsula, so it's important to book as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Wotif.com

For any hotel or public accommodation (hotels etc), Wotif is a good place to start. There isn't likely to be any minimum night requirements if you book accommodation through Wotif, as opposed to Air Bnb and Stayz.

This event will be held over a long weekend in one of the busiest periods for the Mornington Peninsula, so it's important to book as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Stayz - Private accommodation

Stayz is the Mornington Peninsula's go-to online accommodation portal. Some accommodations will have a minimum night booking during this time, so be sure to clearly read the terms and conditions.

This event will be held over a long weekend in one of the busiest periods for the Mornington Peninsula, so it's important to book as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Transport

Get home safely

There will be taxis available on call, however they're difficult to pin down on long weekends. It's best to make sure you have the Uber app installed on your phone ahead of time.

Use promo code APPYCOUPLE when requesting your ride.

New customers get $15 off your first ride with Uber.

Things to Do in Red Hill

Merricks General Store

The Merricks General Store is a Red Hill icon.

If you're looking for somewhere to have a relaxing coffee or wine, or a delicious lunch or dinner, Merricks General Store is definitely a good choice.

There is also a very popular hour-long bush walking track from the back of the store, that leads to The Epicurean which is another excellent venue.

The Epicurean

Based at the end of a long walking track shared with horses, The Epicurean is home to some of the most amazing gourmet pizzas and is a great venue for a coffee, wine, lunch or dinner.

This venue is also just across the road from the Red Hill Cellar and Pantry.

Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm

Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm is one of the Peninsula's most iconic and loved attractions.

March is peak picking season for strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, and there is also a cafe and gift store onsite.

Red Hill Community Market

There is always a huge market on in Red Hill during this peak time.

I will update this website once they have released the dates of the markets for 2020.

Red Hill Brewery

Similar to our wedding venue, if you're interested in trying some craft beers with some authentic BBQ food, the Red Hill Brewery is definitely worth a visit.

Red Hill Estate

Home of my all time favourite wine - Red Hill Estate Prosecco, which will be the sparkling wine option at our wedding!

This is an incredibly beautiful winery with the most amazing views.

If you're after fine dining, or a $5 wine tasting, make sure you stop in at Red Hill Estate.

Arthur's Seat Lookout

A walk up the 304-metre granite hill of Arthurs Seat is a peninsula ritual.

Your reward is an amazing view of golden beaches, Mornington and Bellarine peninsulas, and the twinkling glass towers of Melbourne, far across the bay.

For a bird's eye view over Port Phillip Bay climb aboard the Arthurs Seat Eagle, a state-of-the-art gondola which soars high above the trees.
