How you met Katie: College A Capella

Favorite Katie and Danny memory: Recently, Katie got a foot cramp. When she mentioned it, Danny instantaneously, enthusiastically, and silently flung out his hand to stretch her foot. All three of us continued our conversation, without pause, hand on foot, for several minutes as Katie and Danny sat nonchalantly. Katie later confirmed the cramp was gone and only then, Danny let go of her foot and took a sip of his beer. Seems like they’re starting off their marriage on the right foot.

Song I’m excited to dance to at the wedding: Timber by Kesha (may or may not whip out a coordinated dance)

How I met Katie: Katie Sullivan is singularly responsible for me having friends in college. Katie and I officially met while participating in Wash U's choir our freshman year. While we slowly built up a friendship over mutual love of music and similar obstacles to our college contentedness, it wasn't until second semester that our lifelong bond truly formed. As the song says, we started from the bottom (EXO Lounge) and now we are here. We fell out of a cab and into a friend group, and from that night on we were inseparable.

Favorite Katie and Danny Memory: My favorite memory of Katie and Danny is really the fact that I was there for all stages of their initial relationship: from the night Danny walked Katie back to our dorm sophomore year to the casual acquaintance stage, to the invite to Sig Nu's Wine and Cheese that really solidified the whole thing, to gossiping about their true love in Katie's Boston apartment, and finally the amazing video call from Iceland with the most amazing, yet blissfully unsurprising news. It's been a pleasure to be an observer of their love story.

How you met Katie: My senior year of high school I went to visit Danny at one of his a cappella shows and we went out to some bar/bowling alley after. He was very excited for me to meet this girl he had been seeing. Katie and I ended up telling Danny to shoo, talking for such a long time that night, and after we left I immediately told Danny that she was a keeper.

Favorite Danny and Katie memory: I was in a bookstore with my boyfriend last December when I received a Facetime from Danny and Katie announcing to us their engagement. I have never seen my brother more happy, I have never seen Katie more excited, and I have never been so loud in a bookstore.

How you met Katie: I met Katie in our peak awkward horse girl years. Been nothing but weird for the last 15 or so years.

Favorite Katie and Danny memory: The time I visited Boston and forced them to drive me to Salem for spooky szn only to get trapped in an absolutely massive traffic jam and be unable to find parking or food anywhere so we were all flying into fits of rage. Also never forget the weird tour guide taking shots of water while telling us overdramatized ghost stories.

Song I'm excited to dance to at the wedding: I’m most hype to dance to any and all of the songs we selected for horse show road trip playlists, most notably anything by the Black Eyed Peas

How you met Katie: during Med school orientation. She just had the glow of someone you’d be lucky to be friends with.

Favorite Katie and Danny memory: probably one of the times we met up with them in India Point Park to play spike ball. They were both sitting facing away from us looking at the water and reading happily side by side. They looked like there was no where else they’d rather be and no one else they’d rather be with. They make their own beautiful little world.

Song I’m most excited to dance to at the wedding: honestly it’s got to be a Leon Bridges song. Katie and Danny are the smoothest most romantic couple I know.
