We met on our very first day at WashU in 2011 in the hallowed halls of Dardick 4. We became friends that year through being floormates, the a cappella community, and our freshman seminar on Irish literature that culminated in a trip to Ireland in the summer of 2012!

After many years of friendship we finally got our act together and started dating second semester of senior year. The stars aligned to send us both to Boston post graduation with Danny returning to his beloved city and Katie starting a job in women's mental health research at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Our first summer in Boston was full of new beginnings and adventures, but but some things just stay the same. The picture on the left is from the trip to Ireland in 2012 and the one on the right is 3 years later in Boston on Katie's birthday!

We fell in love fast those first months in Boston during summer nights spent in silly hats.

A little over a year after we'd been together, we decided to move in together and rented our first apartment together in Coolidge Corner in Brookline, MA!

In the summer of 2017 (after a long, grueling year of applications), we moved to Providence, RI where Katie would be starting medical school! Katie's mom worked her magic and found us the best little apartment PVD had to offer, and we're still living here almost 4 years later!

Shortly after moving to Providence, Katie visited an animal shelter as part of her med school orientation program and met the sweetest little kitten in the world. Two weeks later (on Katie's birthday) we brought our little love bug Daisy into our home!

Later that fall we celebrated Katie's commitment to medicine with the White Coat Ceremony!

Anyone who knows us individually knows how much we both love our families, and it has been so special to be able to bring our families together to get to know each other over the years! We knew how truly lucky we were when both of our families were able to go on vacation to Disney World together to celebrate Poppie's 87th birthday in 2018.

We celebrated Christmas together a little early before heading to Iceland as we wouldn't be spending actual Christmas together that year.

We got engaged on December 20th, 2018 under the northern lights at the foot of the Kirkjufell Mountain in Grundarfjörður, Iceland. It was nothing short of magical.

The next morning after we got engaged we went at had coffee with the woman who owned the farm that our AirBnB was located on. It was incredibly special, and she snapped this lovely photo of us in front of the mountain where we got engaged!

As the world changed rapidly in the spring of 2020, our plans changed too. On a day in late April we rescheduled our entire wedding within 24 hours and looked ahead with excitement and anticipation to May 16th, 2021.

On July 25, 2020, the original date of our wedding, we celebrated our love with a commitment ceremony alongside our immediate family, both virtually and in person.

We can't wait for our next chapter to finally begin on May 16, 2021!
