Geoff and I met in 2013 at a mutual friend's (Carly) birthday party. Although we didn't speak too much that night, Geoff swears that it was love at first sight. A few days after the party, he reached out to me to get to know each other and then, after a few weeks of talking, worked up the courage to take me out on our first date. After a bunch of memorable dates and moments together, we fell in love and the rest is history...
In 2018, a few weeks before our 5 year anniversary, Geoff brought me up to his family cottage for a "surprise" birthday weekend. On the Saturday night, he planned a sunset boat ride out on the open water where he first told me he loved me. Along with the engagement ring, a bottle of champagne, and two glasses, he proposed to me right as the sun was going down.
Appropriately, the first place he said "I love you" and where he proposed to me was on the water; therefore, we could not have chosen a better place to tie the knot than on the shores of Muskoka.
