Katie moved to Seattle ready to start a new, professional chapter in August of 2018. Little did she know- Seattle had much more in store for her than a new job. Within a few weeks of moving, a friend from Cornell reached out and encouraged Katie to meet up with fellow Cornellian, Mari Rossi, to start to build a friend network and get acclimated to the area. Mari was incredibly inclusive- she got Katie plugged into outings and brunches...and even secured her an invite to a friend's 30th Birthday party at Bad Jimmy's Brewing. Katie met Mari at the event and Mari immediately started making introductions. The first person Katie met was Collin. They chatted most of the afternoon...evening...and into the early hours of the morning. Katie hurled deep discussion topics at Collin that night...from political affiliation to religious beliefs...and even dragged him to Shingletown for a few country line dances. While she gave Collin all the foresight he needed to RUN, he stuck around ;)
