Sea Island, Georgia
Nestled on the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL, lie the Golden Isles. The Golden Isles are a network of several barrier islands - St. Simons Island, Sea Island, and Jekyll Island.
Kathryn was born and raised on St. Simons Island, and we will be getting married five minutes down the road on Sea Island!
Nearest Airports:
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is 67 miles from Sea Island. It's approximately a one hour and fifteen minute drive. When the couple visits Kat’s family in St. Simons, they fly into JAX.
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is 80 miles from Sea Island. It's approximately a one hour and thirty minute drive. SAV can be an alternative to JAX if flights are more convenient.
Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) is a smaller airport located approximately twenty minutes from Sea Island. The only way to fly into BQK is on Delta via Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta. If you're flying from Atlanta, or through Atlanta, BQK is a great option to arrive right at the site.
