Kate and Ben

Kate met Mel on the first day of year 9 and they have been inseparable every since. Kate's mum cannot distinguish between them on the phone. Mel is an incredible graphic designer, typographer and piano accordionist. Kate and Mel lived together for years at the Ghetto Fabulous Crackden where they carved K+M on a tree in the backyard and are still technically engaged on Facebook.

Rachel, known to Kate only as Ra-Chu, secured Kate's everlasting adoration when she turned in line at the TAFE cafeteria, pointing at the deep-fried hassleback cheese kransky sausages and said "Ribbed....for her pleasure." Ra-Chu is a talented phlebotomist, sketcher, winercolour artist and has the ability to find the smallest of flowers in the ugliest of places.

Steph came into Kate's life with more mystery than most...at a masquerade ball. Realising they were meant to be together, they have since conducted an almost entirely long-distance relationship which is quite possibly keeping the WhatsApp platform alive. When together they can either be found doing K-pop inspired dance workouts in matching outfits or making special boats to more efficiently deliver Doritos to each other in the pool. There is no in-between.

Once upon a time, Krysty was Kate's boss at Acquazul restaurant. Ten years, many cheese and wines, epic gourmet feasts and quotable quotes later, Krysty is still the boss. She is the queen of coffee, flying all over the world to source the best beans. She's also a talented jazz flautist if she can be bullied into it. Krysty and Kate can most commonly be found in a spa, or an infinite loop of enabling each other.
