In Fall of 2012, Bhavin and Karishma met for the first time at Indiana University Bloomington. Bhavin was the one to make the first move after seeing Karishma at a friends apartment. From the moment he saw her, he know he had to say something to her. He strode up to her with confidence, asked for her number, and the rest is history. They enjoyed a few months of college together before Bhavin graduated, and two years of long distance followed. Their love was stronger than the distance, and in summer 2016, Karishma joined Bhavin in Minneapolis.
Karishma moved to Minneapolis and Bhavin and Karishma got their dog, Kato. Kato was first shy and timid, but is now the life of the party. Bhavin and Karishma loved life in Minnesota together, from exploring new restaurants, to the Mall of America on Sundays, to hanging out with their friends. In January of 2018, they decided to move back to home for Karishma - Aka the big apple!
Life in New York was sweet. From family fun, to making old friends and new, Karishma, Bhavin, and Kato truly thrived in New York. And let's not forget all the Baar Baar brunches!
On June 11th, 2021, Bhavin finally popped the question! The family tricked her into getting dressed up for an event at Baar Baar that night, and asked Karishma to pick up a book at Stand bookstore on her way. When she got to strand, Bhavin was waiting for her with a cellist, rose petals, string lights, and best of all - a book he wrote about their 7 year journey together. When Bhavin asked Karishma to marry her, she recited "Hell Yes" three times! Then, Bhavin's and Karishma's immediate families surprised them at Strand and said we should go for a family dinner. Little did Karishma know, her friends and family from near and far were at Baar Baar waiting for her! It was a beautiful night to remember.
