We first met on a summer evening in San Francisco in 2015. Gagan had driven up 40 miles from the South Bay to find that 'summer' in SF meant 50 degrees and foggy. He forgot a jacket but brought a lot of confidence - even though that didn't help him parallel park his car (alright, alright, it was on a "really steep hill"). We walked to a restaurant (well, Gagan was shivering to the restaurant) and ate, talked and laughed.... and ate, talked and laughed some more. A few hours later, the waitress asked 'when is the wedding?!' Despite all that eating (and talking and laughter), the bill came out to be $7! -- Thanks for the free foods/dranks, sweet waitress!! And, somehow, while heading to Denny's to do more eating, talking and laughing, we knew that this was the BEST (cheapest) date of our lives....
A month after we started seeing each other, we got serious. Gagan called in sick to work and told them he needed to see a doctor right away -- he conveniently forgot to mention that the "appointment" was at a Napa Valley Winery.

After 2 years of eating, talking, and laughing, we went out to Espetus Brazilian Steakhouse to celebrate 2 years of being together (and our non-stop eating fest!). While deciding on dessert, I was completely taken by surprise when the staff came out singing and carrying champagne and flowers. I turned towards Gagan, and found him opening a box filled with GLITTER (I mean, a sparkling ring!) I was speechless! With tears in our eyes, he slid the ring onto my finger and we popped some champagne!
We later had a ring ceremony to seal our engagement!
As we look towards the future, we gain strength and love from our family, friends and each other.
We are greatly looking forward to celebrating with you soon!
