I’ve known Egypt for a really, really long time. In fact, I've had the honor of knowing Egee her whole life - she’s my baby sister. Egypt is hands down one of my favorite people on earth. I am so very proud of her and I deeply admire her. I want nothing but pure happiness for my sister. Kalen was easily lovable and my favorite little brother. Him and Egypt are a match made in heaven. I am so very excited for this union.
Egypt and I met at Shoprite and we bonded over how upset customers got when we wouldn’t let them make separate orders for plantains. Seriously. We laughed together everyday and never went more than a day without seeing each other. Even when she moved to Maryland we would still always make time for each other and we have been friends for over 10 years now!
I met Egypt in December of 2012 when my brother brought her to our house for a New Years Eve party.
They were only dating at the time, but I was immediately drawn to her and her joyful and welcoming spirit. Over the years we have become very close, and my brother has even become jealous on how much Egypt and I talk. I’m so happy that she will officially be a part of my family, because she has been my sister for years
Egypt and I have been friends for about 10 years now steaming back to High School. Despite going to different colleges and living in different states our friendship continued to flourish over the years. I think our ability to keep each other grounded while experiencing what life has to offer us kept us friends for this long. I am very excited to witness this dear friend of mine embark on this new journey of achieving her happily ever-after.
Not sure the exact day or moment I met Egypt to be honest. I just know it more than likely was at a family function or one of Kei and Kalen’s parties at the house. From the day I met her I have considered her family. Egypt is such a light and a ball of fun, just like the rest of her family. I don’t have a lot of family in Maryland so to have her and Kalen nearby has been so refreshing! Grateful to have gained a new friend and cousin in law through her courtship with Kalen. Even more, I am honored to be on this journey with them down the aisle!
Kalen and I met through a mutual friend while attending Bowie State University. We originally only hung out in group settings, and something connected. That something is probably the fact that we both enjoy drinking lol. No but on a serious note, I think something was the fact that we were more similar than everyone else in the groups we were around. Being from similar areas and having similar interest like partying and drinking. As time went on and we began becoming adults our friendship became more than partying together. We realized we could depend on one another whenever we needed help or someone to talk too.
Through many memories, vacations, people in and out of the circle, and years later we continued to be friends. Actually, it has only been about 6 years but it feels like we have known each other since elementary school. He's my brother for life.
Kalen and I met when we were in 1st grade. He became my son in 8th grade but claims to be my pops. Over 2 decades later we have remained best friends. Our bond is extraordinary just like father and son. Even though we live in different states and have our own lives we still keep in touch. When we link up its always a celebration.
Cousin of the groom.
Kalen and I met by fate. His sister, Keianna, is one of my best friends. So naturally I had no choice but to meet Kalen. Through the years Kalen has become one of my good friends, and a brother alike. The countless memories we’ve made together are just as irreplaceable as he is.
I was able to Kalen by the way of his sister Keianna. Being that Keianna and I went to college together (inside joke) it was only natural for her younger brother to link with the crew. Upon Kalen meeting me I know that he said "these Virginia Boys down here got my sister's back because they crazy". After many years of loyalty, turning up, vacations, cookouts, good advice and visits to New York City (I still hate NYC), Kalen has become more than just friends. Kalen has become apart of my family and I have become apart of his press life production.
I met Kalen in stages. The first time I ever met him was in line for a concert during freshman year I thought he was a wild dude initially. The next time was a couple of years later when I went on a random double date with him and Egypt. I realized then he was a chill dude. We both worked in the Mall me at Men's Warehouse and him at forever 21. As someone who once worked at Forever 21 I know how horrible that job is so I walked in there one day and told him if he wanted to make more money doing way less apply to Mens warehouse. He applied and was hired and from there the rest is history.
Working with him really helped me to get to know him. He's absolutely hilarious, loyal, always willing to help me when I need him and is all around an amazing guy. I can definitely say I value him very much and I'm honored to have met him!
