Justin and Amanda

Stories
High School. 2007
At the beginning of Senior year of High School, two lunch tables merged into one and a friendship began.
Our First Date. 2008
By Spring, Amanda had wooed Justin and convinced him to go on their first date- even if he would not admit it was a date at the time.
A Year Apart. 2008
After an incredible summer, Justin and Amanda parted ways, him to Penn and her to WashU. They decided to give long-distance a chance.
Wash U. 2009
As fond as absence makes the heart grow, Justin had enough absence. He applied to WashU and was accepted into the Transfer Class of 2009.
First Home. 2011
After two years of forming lasting friendships and growing together, Justin and Amanda decided to move in together. Little did they know this St. Louis apartment would be the biggest apartment they would live in for many, many years.
The Big Apple. 2012
After graduation, Justin and Amanda loaded up the Tahoe and moved to their first shoebox in New York City, she pursuing a law degree and he following a career in product design.
The Ring. 2013
Justin knew that he wanted the ring to be special and unique to fit Amanda's personality. As an engineer, he was immediately drawn to the tension setting. Even though the ring was nothing like the type of ring Amanda thought she wanted, Justin knew her better than she knew herself (as usual). After four long months of waiting for the ring to be custom made, the day finally arrived.
The Proposal. 2014
After tricking Amanda into a romantic dinner alone, a very nervous Justin managed to continue the ruse and get Amanda to solve a puzzle. As you may have guessed, the code that Amanda solved was a proposal in disguise. As you may not have guessed, that was not the first time Amanda had seen that code. This code first appeared in Justin's entry in Amanda's yearbook after their first summer together. During their years together, Amanda asked, "What does my yearbook say?" a minimum of 1,000 times. Justin finally told her and received the answer he was hoping for.

Key People
Bridesmaids

Kim Wirth
Maid of Honor
Kim and Amanda have been best friends since the 7th grade when they discovered their mutual interests for blow pops, airheads and math. The two even developed a special name for their friendship, KAMY. Kim and Amanda have matured (only slightly) over the years but anytime the Disney Channel or High School Musical is mentioned, Kim is still reminded of how long and great their friendship has been. Although the two live over 1,500 miles apart, it is always great to see each other and catch up.

Meredith Wellen
Bridesmaid
Meredith is a part time sales analyst and a full time mama to the flower girl, Parker. Amanda and Meredith are cousins and better yet, friends. They have gone on countless vacations together, from Aruba to Mexico and have always shared lots of laughs. These trips have managed to provide tons of inside jokes, such as “bucketttt” to “you broke my sign, lady!”. Another thing that fuels their friendship is their shared love for laser tag! She is so excited to be part of such a special day for the most special couple.

Michelle Dollinger
Bridesmaid
Being Justin's oldest sister, Michelle is lucky enough to have known Justin for his whole life. She first met Amanda over six years ago when Amanda took a chance and started dating Justin. Over the past six years, they have gotten a chance to know each other and Michelle is so grateful they have already become like family. Some of Michelle's favorite memories with Justin and Amanda are family get-togethers, vacations, and of course the HIMYM bar crawl. Michelle is so glad Amanda will now be an "official" member of the family and is so excited to be a bridesmaid!

Lauren Dollinger
Bridesmaid
Lauren first met Amanda six and half years ago and still remembers the night that Justin told her Amanda was the one and that he was going to stay with her through college. While she thought he was crazy at the time, she can't be happier that Amanda is truly becoming part of the family. Over the years, Lauren has always known that she can come to Amanda for advice. Whether it's family vacations, trips to the mall, hanging out in the city, or going out to eat, spending time together is always a blast.

Shana Dollinger
Bridesmaid
Shana is Justin's sister and has been fortunate enough to know the happy couple from the beginning. Amanda and Justin have both been a great influence on Shana's life. She thanks Amanda for bringing her (and Justin) to WashU in St. Louis, where she is currently pursuing a bachelor of Fine Arts. She can't wait for the wedding and is confident that they will enjoy many happy years together.

Tara Dollinger
Bridesmaid
Tara first met Amanda when Amanda ran up and kissed Justin after graduation, unaware that his whole family was standing next to him. Since Tara was still in middle school when they met, she considers Amanda an older sister. Whether it's playing board games, doing nails, or just talking, Amanda and Tara always have a great time together.

Haley Garrett
Bridesmaid
Haley is a JD/MBA student currently at the Stern School of Business in New York City. Amanda and Haley met in 2012 at a 1L mixer the summer before law school began and it was love at first sight. Amanda was one of the first people to share with Haley: the rare skill of nail art, the pro secrets of getting into all the speakeasies, the craft of impeccable pink cocktails, that cartwheeling through Furman is totally acceptable, and basically everything there is to know about being a law student. All in all, Haley would obviously be lost without her and is so very excited to be a part of this next amazing life step!

Caroline Odorski
Bridesmaid
Caroline is in her third year of law school at NYU. Caroline and Amanda met 1L year and quickly bonded over outlining-related stress and keeping each other sane amidst a sea of hipster undergrads in Bobst Library. They've taken 12 classes together, and made them much more fun by coordinating donut, (soho) sushi, and bagel runs. Despite their storied academic history, they enjoy procrastinating through Greenwich Village excursions, trading Buzzfeed links, and having lengthy iMessage conversations (once Caroline learned she could download it onto her laptop).

Emily Rutcofsky
Bridesmaid
Emily is a law student at NYU in New York City. Emily and Amanda met the second day of orientation in Lawyering. After Amanda pulled some strings to get Emily into her study group Emily knew Amanda was someone she could always count on. Over the the last three years Amanda and Emily have enjoyed bonding over cheap eats, "studying" in silent parts of the library (while constantly gchatting the entire time), and spoiling the plot of Game of Thrones for people who have not read the books (but really should, everyone should. Justin back me up!).
Groomsmen

Matt Siedman
Best Man
Like Justin – Matt also works as a Mechanical Engineer. They have known each other since before their elementary school days at Signal Hill and even spent a year in college at Penn together. From schoolwork, to bowling, to poker they have always been able go to each other for help and advice. In high school they participated as teammates in numerous competitions, each time intending to go home with the big prize. Despite never actually succeeding they were glad to have made the choice to compete and spend the time together. As Albus Dumbledore says “'It is our choices…that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

Trevor Dollinger
Groomsman
As Justin's younger brother, Trevor has been given the fantastic opportunity of having a smart, responsible, and caring role model throughout his life. The one lesson Justin has taught Trevor that stands above the rest is to help himself. Instead of doing the problem for Trevor, or beating the level for him, Justin would say, "Here, let me show you how to do it." It's just like the saying goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." With the lessons Justin has taught Trevor, Trevor looks forward to helping Justin and his equally kind and caring soon-to-be wife Amanda in any way he can throughout and after their wedding process.

John McNulty
Groomsman
John and Justin graduated together back in 2008 from Hills East and have since grown from friends to soon-to-be brother in laws. John is by far Justin's most extravagantly handsome groomsman.* John is proud to say that he will be making Justin an uncle for the very first time as of November 2014. John is also uncomfortable talking about himself in the third person. Justin and Amanda have a special kind of love for each other that John believes we can all emulate.
*This statement holds no guarantees. Any insulted parties should contact Amanda Sabele, John's future attorney.

Bill Drinkwater
Groomsman
While Justin may be marrying Amanda, we all must know that his heart truly lies with Bill D. These two, with their passion for engineering, quickly became a dynamic duo. They traveled to work together, spent their days buried in the dynamics of kitchenware, worked out together, commuted through traffic together (a test of any relationship), and many-a-time would end their days together with a drink. When Justin asked Bill to be a groomsman, Bill was shocked, for he had no idea Justin was seeing someone else. Through many nights of pizza and Netflix binging alone, Bill has come to terms with Justin and Amanda's union and wishes the two the best of luck in their journey.

Andrew Kessler
Groomsman
Andrew and Justin met in the early days of high school, where their shared interest in building (and destroying) cool stuff cemented a long-lasting friendship. Over the past nine years, Andrew and Justin have shared countless adventures, ranging from suburban gorilla safaris to experimental board game development. Andrew was present (not literally) for the beginning of Justin and Amanda's legendary story, and is honored to be a part of this exciting next chapter in their lives.
Andrew and Justin are still hard at work trying to come up with special name for their friendship (a la KAMY); suggestions are welcome.

Matt Bernstein
Groomsman
Matt is Amanda's cousin. He first met Justin when the couple was still in high school, and immediately bonded with him over their competitive nature to be the best at laser tag. Matt lives out in Los Angeles and works for UCLA Football overseeing operations and recruiting. Although he is not in NY often, he always makes it a point to see Amanda and Justin. He is excited to be a part of their special day and couldn't be happier for them.

Michael 'Moze' Mosbacher
Groomsman
Michael is a mechanical engineer working in St. Louis, MO. Amanda was on Michael's freshman floor, and he first met Justin when he visited Amanda. After Justin transferred into Washington University, he, Patrick (fellow Groomsman), and Michael spent a lot of time together studying together. Michael is very grateful to have gotten to know both Amanda and Justin through their years spent together in college and is extremely honored and excited to be part of their big day!

Patrick Knight
Groomsman
Patrick is an engineer living in Denver, Colorado. Patrick lived on Amanda's freshmen floor at Washington University, and first met Justin when he would visit her from Penn. Once Justin transferred to WashU, Patrick and Justin quickly became close friends as they toiled away most nights working on homework for their mechanical engineering classes. Patrick is certain he would never have graduated were it not for Justin's cool wit and calm demeanor, not to mention his unmatched intelligence. Patrick and Justin have survived everything college could throw at them, from 16 hour finals to all night Super Smash Bros. tournaments. Once, Patrick taught Justin how to wrangle a mountain goat with mint flavored dental floss and a rusty coat hanger.

Tyler Maiman
Groomsman
Tyler and Justin met while working at Lifetime Brands. After countless hours commuting, designing, and working out together they developed a close friendship. Through Justin he, of course, met Amanda and always enjoys their nights out at bars all over Brooklyn and Manhattan. When Justin popped the big question, "Will you be my Groomsman?", Tyler said yes instantly.
