We met on September 6, 2014 at a mutual friend Chris Diozzi’s 30th birthday at the Warehouse bar in the Boston. Julie caught Matty’s attention and the rest is history. A lot of our favorite people were there that night and it is a night we will never forget.
Our first date was September 11, 2014 at Met Bar on Newbury Street followed by some night cap shots at Joe’s! We were the last ones at both bars and had the best time!
Our first vacation was to Puerto Rico in June 2015 and we both turned into lobsters! Since then we have traveled to 6 countries and a number of places in the US. Our trips are our most memorable times together. We can even laugh today about some of our Griswold travel moments.
Back Bay is our home and the place where we fell in love. We love our neighborhood and all it has to offer. We were even lucky enough to work across the street from each other for a couple of years. Our walks to work together were always the best part of the day!
Our first apartment was a studio on Comm Ave. We enjoyed our “dungeon” apartment in the basement and had the best cozy Friday nights there. We learned to move, renovate and decorate together in our second apartment just a few doors down Spring 2018! 322 is our home and we love how we made it together.
Since we’ve met, we’ve been to 16 weddings together! We love being a part of so many of our friends and family weddings and celebrate with them! We are always reminded how lucky we are to have incredible people in our lives!
On Friday, April 20, 2018 in the middle of Comm Ave, Matty got down on one knee and asked Julie to marry him. It was the perfect engagement right in front of their home and their favorite part of Boston !!
We are beyond excited to officially become husband and wife on August 24th! We always knew we wanted our wedding in Boston, in the city that we met, fell in love and currently live and work. We can’t wait to say “I do” in front of our family and friends in our neighborhood church!
We are heading to Europe for our honeymoon a couple days after the wedding! Our itinerary includes Tuscany, Lake Como, Nice, St Tropez and Mallorca! We can’t wait to eat and drink our way through Italy, France and Spain!!
