Please Log inHow to find the location of the wedding ceremony
The wedding ceremony will take place at the "Lakefront".
Follow the directions to the Yanchep Inn. This is located in a National Park, so please follow the signs leading towards the "Yanchep Inn".
You will drive through an entrance office. Let them know that you are guests of Josh and Kelly's wedding, and they will let you through free of charge. The park entry fee has been covered
When you arrive at the Inn look for Amy, our wedding planner. She will direct you to the exact location of the ceremony.
The Lakefront location is on grass, so bear in mind with your footwear! Children are welcome at the ceremony.
At the conclusion of the wedding ceremony, we would love you all to stay nearby for a group photo. We will be delaying congratulations until the Reception.
Those of you staying in or around Joondalup or Mindarie who are jumping on the wedding bus:
The wedding bus will arrive at The Quest Joondalup at 2:35pm for a 2:45pm departure.
It will then arrive at at The Marina Hotel in Mindarie at 3:05pm for a 3:15pm departure.
Guests will then be dropped to the Yanchep Inn at around 3:45pm, ready for a 4:00pm start.
The wedding bus will also be waiting at The Yanchep Inn to take people home via Mindarie and Joondalup at midnight.
After the ceremony, we have arranged for some platters at the "Atrium". This is walking distance from the ceremony and Amy, our Wedding Planner will be able to direct you on where to go.
Of course, there will be plenty of food at the Reception. However, please help yourself to the nibbles available.
The national park is stunning. You may also like to take this time to have a walk around and do some exploring - totally up to you!
All guests will stroll over to the front of the Yanchep Inn (also walking distance) around 5:45pm where a bus will come to take you to the Reception venue.
Our wedding reception will take place in the Cabaret Cave. This is located within the national park but is a bit of a distance from the Ceremony and "in between" location. The cave is stunning and always a consistent 19 degrees inside.
It is a cocktail event with plenty of "refreshments" and food - but please bring your dancing shoes!
We will have a live band, but they will have a playlist going for in-between sets, so let us know if there is a particular song sure to get you on the dance floor!
An evening of debauchery is no place for babes - book in your babysitter!
****RSVP is not essential - just to give us an idea of who to keep in the loop about our whereabouts***
For those Perth-first-times as well as those Perth-locals (who have lost touch with the wonderful and mystical beauty of their own back yard) who have never (or not in a long time) visited Rottnest Island - we're going for a day trip!
Nothing formal and all welcome. We have no idea what the weather will be like. However, it is stunning for snorkelling and just a beautiful day out in general.
Hillarys will be the close if you are staying in Mindarie or Joondalup, but you can also get ferries from Perth or Fremantle if you're staying closer to there.
You will need to book tickets for the ferry across (try to get early in the morning over there and later in the afternoon to come back). You can order your tickets from here:
We have booked the 7.30am ferry from Hillarys to Rottnest and the 4.30pm Ferry back again.
We will be hiring bikes and snorkelling gear!
You may also like to hire a bike (recommended, as there is so much to do and see on Rottnest Island - and no cars allowed!). You can hire a bike using the same link as above.
