As part of our wedding celebration, we want to construct a few time capsules filled with objects and letters from the people closest to as a promise and gift for the future. We're going to fill a few capsules on our wedding day to open at various moments in our lives (in 5 years, 10 years, 25 years and 50 years) and the end of the weekend we will hammer it shut and open each of them when their proper time comes.
You can chose to place something in any or all of the time capsules. If this idea is not for you, please feel free to choose to opt out.
Here are some general ideas to inspire you.
It could be a letter to us sending thoughts to our future selves or giving us advice for this future part of our life.
It could be a drawing
It could be a photograph.
It could be a video or audio recording.
It could be an object found or made that holds special meaning for you related to either of us, or about us as a couple.
It can be anything, think ahead and imagine something that you think would be meaningful or fun for us to first discover in 5, 10, 25 or 50 years. Something that reminds of this time in our lives or a previously significant time or event or our relationship with you or makes us remember something about ourselves that we might have lost touch with in the future.
We look forward to discovering whatever it is many years down the line.
