Hill Country Weekend Getaway
– Visit Luckenbach for your "Everybody's Somebody in Luckenbach Texas" t-shirts and if you're lucky, you will get to hear and see some Texas musicians playing under the trees out back.
– It's no secret the Hill Country is known for Texas' best wineries. Some of our favorites are Becker Vineyards, Barons Creek Vineyards, Hye Meadow Winery and Messina Hof Hill Country.
– Wanting a brewery experience? Check out Altstadt Brewery
– If you want to learn a little bit about history, visit Admiral Nimitz Museum, National Museum of the Pacific War at 340 E. Main
– Shop until you drop at our favorite boutiques on Main
Our Hill Country Favorites
– Go to Hondo's on Main Street for Friday night fun. Get there early for a place to sit outside if weather is permitting and you'll get to hear live music and enjoy a few drinks and some good food. Order your drinks and food inside at the bar.
– German food is where it's at in Fredericksburg! If you want the outside Biergarten experience choose Altdorf German Biergarten & Restaurant. 301 W. Main
– For a small restaurant experience, choose Der Lindenbaum 312 E. Main or The Auslander 323 E. Main (park in the back) for a larger restaurant
– To have a hamburger experience like no other, visit Alamo Springs Cafe. They have been featured on many Texas magazine covers but it is very hard to find. 107 Alamo Rd
– For breakfast, locals eat at Andy's at 413 S. Washington. We also love Sunset Grill at 902 S. Adams -- this small grill is rated number one on trip advisor for a reason.
– If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to visit Fredericksburg Pie Company for pie and coffee at 108 E. Austin
