We recommend booking as early as possible!

You can fly into Smithers Airport (YYD) or Terrace Airport (YXT).

Flying into Smithers is more expensive but worth it if you are short on time. The airport is a 5 minute drive from downtown.

Flying into Terrace can be a cheaper option but is a 2.5 hour drive to Smithers, so factor in vehicle rental costs if you choose this route.

It is a 13 hour drive from Vancouver and Calgary to Smithers. 

There are only 2 taxi vans operating at any given time but luckily almost everywhere is walkable in Smithers.

Vehicle rental options are available through the Airport if you want to go on an adventure during your stay.

We will provide a shuttle service on Saturday.

What do you do when you finally get here?

1. Crater Lake - this is a short hike to an alpine lake and some nice views. Access is from the top of the ski hill.

2. Twin Falls - short hike to a couple of waterfalls just west of town.

3. Malkow Lookout - another shorty, walk to a lookout over town and nice views of Hudson Bay Mountain.

4. Babine Mountains - if you have more time we suggest you go for a hike in this mountain range.

5. Mountain Biking - hit up the Bluff Trails or shuttle runs on the ski hill. You can rent bikes from McBike downtown.

6. Hangout by the Bulkley River and check out the parameter trail that loops around town.
