Please arrive at Rockwell on the River prior to 3pm for the baraat (celebratory arrival of the groom). Wedding ceremony will immediately follow.
Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30pm.
The reception will begin at 7pm.
Shuttle service will be provided from the Courtyard Chicago Downtown to Rockwell on the River, leaving at 2:15pm. Returning shuttle service to Courtyard Chicago Downtown will be scheduled for 10pm, 11pm and 12am.
For those who choose to drive, complimentary valet service will be available at Rockwell on the River. Please arrive before 3pm.
UBER and LYFT is widely available throughout the Chicago area for those attending from locally.
How is COVID affecting the wedding?
Please check the events page for updates on the local mask and vaccination mandates closer to our wedding date. As of February 28th, masks and COVID-19 vaccinations are no longer required by the city of Chicago.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unless you have been given a plus one on the invitation please do not bring additional guests.
When should I arrive at Rockwell on the River for the wedding?
The wedding celebrations will begin at 3pm. Please arrive prior to then so you do not miss out on any of the fun!
Will the Wedding/Reception be indoors and/or outdoor?
The baraat (celebratory entrance of the groom) will begin outdoors barring bad weather. Afterwards the ceremony and Reception will be held indoors. April in Chicago can be chilly, so guests are more than welcome to watch the baraat from inside if more comfortable.
Will I have space to change my outfit before the reception?
Unfortunately, we will not have space for our guests to change outfits, so please plan to wear your wedding outfit for the reception as well.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, please check under the events tab to see dress codes. The bride's colors will be red and white, so please choose different colors. If you would like to rent or buy Indian attire please check out on the links below (also talk to Jay and Paras for help!):
Is there parking?
There is no onsite parking. We have a shuttle that will transport guests from the Marriott to the venue and back. There is also valet service for those who wish to drive.
What type of food will be served at the reception?
There will be primarily Indian food served during the reception. There will be vegetarian and milder options available. We are confident our caterer will provides dishes that everyone can enjoy. There will also be snacks, coffee, and chai throughout the day. Please let Jay or Paras know if you have any specific dietary restrictions.
