Where it all started

Rewind to the fall of 2014 when I was a sophomore at Boston University and Jared was finishing up his Masters at MIT. Soon after we met, we were pretty much inseparable, spending our days walking through Boston Common or down Newbury St. Jared was a trooper and escorted me to plenty a sorority formal and college events, despite being older than everyone there, traveled across the pond to London while I was studying abroad and spent his summers with my family, making it quite clear he'd do anything to make me happy.

When I (finally) graduated from BU two years later, our life together really started. At that point we had lived all throughout Boston and settled in Watertown, where we soon after made the biggest decision of our life: adopting Harper! We were now our own little happy family and decided it was time for our next adventure.

Setting Off in a New Direction

With the "now or never" mentality, we decided to pack up our life in Boston and head to the land of beer, hiking and skiing! We moved to Denver in the spring of 2017 and can honestly say it has been our best decision to date.

We have fully embraced the outdoor lifestyle in Colorado and find ourselves skiing Arapahoe Basin and Breckenridge in the winters and hiking and camping in Telluride and Crested Butte in the summers, all while taking in the amazing views and drinking some of the best beer we've ever had.

I Said Sì!

During the summer of 2019, we ventured to Europe for a weeklong adventure through Germany, Austria and the Dolomites of Italy. The day we arrived, we went to the highest point in Germany, visited a medieval castle that inspired the Cinderella castle and ventured down to the gorgeous city of Innsbruck, Austria, but Jared had bigger plans in store for the next day!

He decided to take advantage of a pocket of perfect weather, expecting the rest of the week to be a bit stormy, and took me to the stunning Lago Di Braies in the Dolomites. At this lake, we got to rent a private, wooden row boat and venture through the water, surrounded by some of the most dramatic mountain views. Once we got to the middle of the lake, Jared's nerves were at an all time high as he pulled out the ring from his backpack (still unbeknownst to me!). He popped the question shortly thereafter, and of course I said YES! The location and timing of the proposal could not have been more perfect!! We were able to celebrate the rest of the week while doing what we do best: exploring!

I also later found out that the diamonds in my ring were gifted to Jared from my parents TWO years ago, making the ring that much more special.
