The Blue Ridge Parkway
Protected by the National Park Foundation, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers 469 miles of unparalleled views of Appalachia. At the time of our wedding, the leaves will be changing and the views will be even more spectacular! www.nationalparks.org/explore-parks/blue-ridge-parkway

Pisgah National Forest
Looking to camp before or after? Or just want to go on a day hike? The Pisgah National Forest is a land of mile-high peaks, cascading waterfalls, and heavily forested slopes. Click here for information on camping and day-use of the forest. Chimney Rock State Park is also a great option for something outdoors!

And much more!
Asheville is full of other amazing things to do and we can't cover them all. In addition to everything above, there are many breweries (including Sierra Nevada which is MASSIVE) and wineries, trolly tours, so much shopping and more. Check out this website for some other ideas: www.exploreasheville.com.

DINING SPOTS

The Asheville restaurant scene is on fire and definitely worth checking out. Here are some ideas:

Cúrate
Cúrate is a celebration of authentic Spanish cuisine located in a former 1927 bus depot offering elevated small plates, cured meats, sherries & wine. Reservations recommended. www.katiebuttonrestaurants.com/curate/

Sunny Point Cafe
This cafe is family owned and independent restaurant serving comfort food. It is DELICIOUS, y'all. Reservations only accepted at night. Warning: there is usually a long wait in the mornings but it is worth it! www.sunnypointcafe.com

Buxton Hall Barbecue

City Transportation

If you are not renting a car, there are still plenty of ways to get around town! If you are staying downtown, many things are within walking distance.

Uber & Lyft
Asheville has both of these ride share services and it is probably the most convenient way to get around the city.

Asheville Taxi
If you prefer using the local taxi company, you can give them a call at 828-333-1976. You can get more information at their website: www.avltaxi.com

Asheville Bus Transit
Lastly, if you prefer public transport then Asheville has a transit system (although we cannot attest to how easy it is to use). Here is more information on their website: www.ashevillenc.gov/service/transit-maps-schedules/.
