Even though we have known each other for 10 years, we didn't start dating until 2019. We bounced ideas off of each other as mentors at the University of Chicago's Polsky Center, but one day, his intentions changed.
I'm the nurturer. The empath. The motivational speaker and energy healer. I'm the peacemaker and thought-provoker that tries to keep the peace with my firecracker of a partner! He knew he needed that balance and came to ask me out while I was sitting across from a client that had a crush on me! He says to this day he never saw him sitting there. That man had tunnel vision and a serious intention!
He is inspirational in his level of dedication. Pragmatic. Unapologetic. Driven and passionate about community. His natural inclination for care is unmatched. I have never spent a moment in a doctor's office, hospital bed, or ER without him. HIs words match his deeds, and I am grateful for that.
