One day, Jackie was going to go to Bar Method and Seth was going to stay home listening to music with Lemon the cat, when their friends Dan, Ming and Jennifer convinced them both to go out for happy hour. Seth was there to meet another fine young lady, but in the end Jackie caught his eye. And the rest is history!
I thought Seth was so handsome when we first met. He had long hair tucked behind his ears (a la Jared Leto in My So-Called Life), and his voice was so sweet and calming. On our first date we went to Trestle on 10th, and he reminded me to bring a jacket because it was going to be chilly on the patio. He cut his hair, but was equally as handsome. I was introduced to Jackie when a friend surprised me with a blind date with one of his wife’s colleagues, who was not Jackie. She had stopped by seemingly, by chance, after a lively workout, unshowered and preceded to win me over with her vibrant personality and smile. After our first date, I told her she was part of my “inner circle” which was my funny way of saying I knew she was going to be an important part of my life.

You’ve probably all met the third member of the Mellon clan, our sassy yet also sweet pet Lemon the Cat. While she started out as Seth’s, we’ve both become loving cat parents over the years and can’t imagine what we would do without her.
Over the years, Seth has become part of Jackie’s family, most importantly taking over the role of making Christmas raviolis. Each year he rolls out over 300 homemade raviolis, and prides himself on making process improvements in dough quality.
Jackie also enjoys spending time with Seth and his family in North Carolina on the lake and in the pool overlooking the water.
Seth proposed to Jackie at Le Continental restaurant, while on a winter getaway to Quebec with their friends Stephanie and Trevor. Snow was falling, Celine Dion was playing in the background…it was perfect!
